  • Do religious Iranians hit their kids for not praying etc.?
     OP - September 09, 2016, 10:18 AM

It seems not uncommon in the countries surrounding Iran, eg Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Arab countries. this based on what I've read on here and Yahoo Answers.

My Iranian wife said "no way, Iranian culture isn't like that". I'm wondering if that's really right or not.

whatever she is saying she is right...

    now coming to your question..

Do religious Iranians hit their kids for not praying etc.?

well if you consider "religious Iranians". WHICH I CALL THEM AS FAITH HEADS....

then..then children of ever faith head/ faith head family of ALL FAITHS   beat/chide/control/ children for making them observe their respective religious rituals ..

So in that sense Islam is no different from other religious bums/faith heads May be Islamic faith heads  are bit more   angry bums..

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

I'm not sure Yeez... Honour killing among Farsi-speaking Persians doesn't happen at all as far as I know, but again it occurs among Iran's neighbouring communities.

I am not getting it.     Are you talking about folks in Iran or  Farsi-speaking Persians out side of Iran?  and on top of all that     "HONOR KILLING IS NOTHING DO WITH ISLAM & ISLAMIC SCRIPTURES"

Iran is multicultural with Turks, Armenians, Kurds, Sunni Balochis, southern Sunni Arabs, Zoroastrians, Baha'is, Turkomen etc. But I'm thinking of the main Farsi-speaking Parsis whether in or outside Iran.

'Honour' is one of the gifts of Allah; preserving it is a religio-cultural right of people to preserve.

O.K.  we will discuss and debate and clarify the way you are thinking about people of Persia ..Did you know its name was changed to Iran  from Persia in 20th century  dear  fajfall ?

No one has the right to inflict a cultural practice on another person. So no, it is not the right of those believing in honour to force others to live or die in such a way.

Yeah I was being sarcastic. But the issue of hitting children for religion interests me. I know fully-chadored old Iranian women whose daughters dress like unveiled barbie dolls and the parents aren't bothered by it.
