  • Divided rules in Islam
     OP - February 05, 2017, 12:35 AM

Why does Islam glorify multiple sex partners for men in heaven, but women will have to confine themselves to their husbands of this world, assuming he qualifies for it in the first place? Men are privileged in this life and the next.

I am turning to atheism and abandoning the religious ways of my parent in response to radical Islam and extremism, as those ideologies inspire atrocious acts against others, including other Muslims. I seek better life where religion does not trespass into my private lives.

I dunno about that. I have known quite a few men with multiple partners who were miserable trying to maintain.

My own completely uneducated opinion on it is that women are considered to be property. Men think they own the women in their lives, and for a woman to lust after another man completely unsettles them -because it shows initiative and individuality as well as sexuality (and women who like having sex or see men as means to sexual gratification are whores, right?). So even in their own depictions of the afterlife they cannot accept  or explore that a woman might experience attraction to others or multiple others, because it somehow undermines their own attractiveness or their own sense of self (normally inflated).

Just a theory about the fragile underbelly of patriarchy.

Don't let Hitler have the street.
