    In case the bet on an afterlife doesn't work out, there are scientists working on ways to extend this one. As I'm already halfway through mine, I wonder if I'll live long enough to benefit.

    short version: anti-virals don't prevent cancer formation but do supress cancer drug resistance.

    he's a bullshit artist talking in hushed tones to a moronic podcast host - that's my polite assessment.

    at the moment, the only way i'm going to prolong my (healthy) lifespan is by doing some exercise. hopefully, some therapies to turn back the clock will be available in about 20yrs so the practical goal is to avoid succumbing to various lifestyle diseases before that point.

    diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure: this bastard triangle of doom must be postponed for as long as possible.
