Let me repeat it.,   Muslims do exist and Quran is relevant with reference to their belief and Quran is relevant as one of the oldest  Arabic book of its time.      ................educating Muslims as well as non-Muslims on Quran and on the origins of Islam  is an important step to advance humanity and human civilization .. and it also goes to other faiths.. faith heads and their respective religious literature

yeezevee says that and crumble replies with few words..
...................no muslims, no non-muslims, only the here and the now....................

that sounds good to me... but how do we make everyone   and every faith head to understand that dear crumble...

    anyways let me watch this

well heading of your folder is ...............Apostasy Alternative......    SO WHAT IS THAT ALTERNATIVE   dear crumble?? indeed reading Quran is important .. let me go and read it ..

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

Crumble's alternative is nihilism as far as I can tell. But don't worry, I'll slap it out of him/her or they (just trying to keep up with the times...)  Cheesy

to believe in nihilism could be a contradiction.

the lazy man doesn't look for meaning and avoids attachment to names. in a world drowning in meaningful truths and named ideas, this lazy attitude equals individual freedom. other people's freedom is irrelevant.

when you hear an old song, you're taken back to the time you first heard it.

if we can tap into a shared collective memory that predates muslim-isation of identity then there's a chance of a simple reset.

it relies on the sense of self being flimsy and susceptible to a sudden flip. just need to find or a create an attractive switch.

punk culture is an attractive switch. nida manzoor on writing this comedy:

    Quote from:
As a diasporic kid, I know what it’s like to live within multiple identities. I’ve been told that they’re in conflict.

You’ve got to choose, are you British (us) or are you Pakistani/Muslim (them). I don’t want your “us or them”, to quote The Cure. I am all things to all men, as Roots Manuva sang. The show seeks to offer an image of complex ways of being, shades of grey, of characters owning and loving their mixed identity, their wonderful third culture.

Crumble's alternative is nihilism as far as I can tell.

impermanence is the celebration of existence. however, any meaning is undermined by the transient way of things.

    Quote from:
In winter, one wood-wanders through bare trees in reflective, echoey tones of one’s own making; the spring wood, the sap rising and anemones blossoming underfoot, is affirmation of life over death; the summer greenwood is for romance and for blue caves of sheltering shade; the autumn wood, with the incense of fallen leaves filling the air, is for gathering mushrooms — the larder time

unfortunately, the producer got their way. irreverence was replaced by stilted bollocks in tonight's tv version.

    yep, fucked it up.

    Quote
My executive producer didn’t mean to freak me out when they mentioned the ‘responsibility on my shoulders’ in representing these marginalised voices.

Oh shit. I sit in my office. A tightness in my chest. I have to actually write my comedy now. Responsibly. Representing marginalised voices. I open my laptop. I can’t write a single joke. My prefrontal cortex is going insane – I am one of the lucky ones who gets to speak so I better not f*ck this up.

like art and digital tokens, religion only maintains its imaginary value through the consensus of a few influential actors.

    Quote
But much like in the market for cryptocurrencies, the value of contemporary art isn’t based on fundamentals (such as profitability or capital in stocks). There are some features that make a work of art valuable, like size or if it has a lot of the color red. But mostly, especially with emerging artists who may flame out, art has no objective intrinsic value. This means its prices are very fragile. If prices rise and then fall, collectors might suspect the artist was overvalued. In that case the market for their work could implode and the artist might never sell again. All it takes is one fickle collector to come along and hype one artist, then abandon them, to destroy a career.

what does a lazy non-exmuslim watch on telly?

    Quote from:
The producers have organised their smorgasbord of hoary fable, pop culture, sporting triumph, Tory politics and toxic masculinity so deftly; each time you think this is just the same old story – of the rivalry between the lonely and wild Higgins and his technocrat young rival Steve Davis – the coloured balls click and clack again, and you realise that, no, there’s so much more going on here. The third and final episode achieves a kind of symphonic intensity in the way that it brings together the series’ themes, some quiet and some loud, some eternally redolent and some wilfully bombastic

whatever happened to british secular muslims? I guess their progressive supporters have abandoned them.

    Quote from:
Spare a thought for progressive UK Muslims, of multiple identities and allegiances. We are many, but you wouldn’t know that. We follow Islam (in our own ways), yet are keen advocates of secular democracy, the separation of state and faith in all matters.

Our equality struggles, anti-racism and human rights activism extend to community and religious subjugation. That maddens racists as well as conservative Muslims. We are caught between the Devil and the deep blue sea. Criticism of fellow Muslims is seen as treachery because it encourages racism. Furthermore, reasonable, well-integrated Muslims are regarded with suspicion because they disrupt the well-rehearsed script of Britishness, of them and us.

Just out of curiosity, abandoned by who?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

closets, authenticity and cultural muslims - how to give yourself a headache.

    Quote
For every person who identifies with the ex-Muslim label, I have met 100-plus1 born Muslims who have mentally and informally, checked out of Islam.

These are people who would never be Muslim had they not been born into the faith. People who retain the nominal label of ‘Muslim’ for a variety of practical reasons; not theological ones.

I think a network of 'casual muslims' could be something that could gain traction in the uk.

most of them aren't engaged with middle class progressive politics and are pretty much culturally british (not pakistani etc). if offered the option to call themselves muslim (in the nominal sense) whilst being free to contradict religious norms then I think they'd be pretty comfortable with that (instead of being scared to talk).

if it got off the ground then ex-muslims, agnostic muslims, etc would be unnecessary. the idea is to broaden the church (er mosque) and by doing so, driving out the religious types. a wishy washy live and let live ethos would do the trick, whilst being careful to keep the diversity/rights crowd at arms length.

ever wonder why the ex-muslim movement has failed? one of the reasons were the seemingly do-gooder humanist & secular organisations which initially offered support.

    Quote
HUK benefits from the cultural capital of the causes and the histories of the organisations that it takes over while it essentially starves them.

... It uses apostates at gala dinners as if to show off how diverse it is and yet wrings its hands over spending any real money on them. It basks in the glory of being able to say it helps these groups on social media until it is blue in the face but what on what leg does it stand when it invests 0% of unrestricted funds into their sections?

I did want to make a cheap remark about putting your 'faith' in an organisation and whining later when the company you signed over isn't treated the way you wanted it to be...

But yeah, I have wondered what happened to awareness around ex-Muslims, which there was a decent amount around a decade ago. But I guess like atheism, these issues got sidelined for what I personally consider yawn inducing 'culture war' issues of flags, pronouns, safe spaces etc.

the other reason could be that middle class iranian types don't really reflect the majority of current/former muslims in britain.

might be too much to say that cemb is a self-promotion vehicle for certain individuals but you can certainly say they've been co-opted into identity nonsense and hashtag activism.

if someone is selling an easy-going, non-confrontational way of life then you have to suspect that it hides angry hardcore dogma underneath lol.

or it could be my thinking is as schizophrenic and changeable as any other prophet - but I prefer you send me daily bitcoin not blessings (both worthless).

the quasi truth is that silly 'british muslims' are already living this lazy philosophy. sure, some loudmouth plonkers go against the grain but they're the minority. an annoying cliche but true.

it will only take a few role models in the media for these brits to be less shy about their non-compliance with religious nonsense. but radical atheists and lefty posers are not the answer, eg their self-worthy #allahisgay hashtag does not move the needle - it might as well be #gay4allah, that has comedic value at least lol.
