Well, when it comes to the Jewel of Medina, there is huge amounts of information out there on Aisha and Muhammad, which is more then enough to fill a book.
Maybe in a robotic fashion, but even with all the hadiths and the siras, there still wouldn't be enough to put the meat between the sandwich. There has to be a certain filling in the gaps because of the style of book she was attempting.
You've been talking about writing a book for the past 5 years.
You haven't known me for 5yrs.
But you are right, it's only in planning phase, like all my plans are. I'll get there eventually.
In my opinion, a book on Khina, theres far too much evidence supporting Saffiya, and very scholars too. I perosnally would not go down the line of Mo raped Saffiya etc, she was only married to Khina for a small amount of time, and the back story of Martin Lings which is based on early Islamic sources and has even been received well by critics would seem a whole lot more credible.
Interesting but not sure what it has to do with Kahina.
Sometimes, pepole want to just read a nice book without an ulterior agenda attached too it, as long as you write fairly and keep it factually and historically accurate everyone will like the book.
She wrote a mills and boons love story, not a factual reference book. The only agenda I see from her is seeing an opportunity to make some money by using a controversial story as an idea. What's wrong with making money?
Aisha and mohammed are long dead and buried, as if it's hurting their feelings.
