So how long since you left Islam? Me, it's been almost 9 months now

Going by the boundaries of the type of Islam that I practised, I left Islam about a year and a half ago, because I began to think that there is no god, that the Quran was a bunch of bunk, and so on. But I didn't really say it to anyone else or consider living a life without the trappings of Islam until 2 months ago when a good friend who had all the trappings told me he had left. I guess I did not consider that it was possible. I realised that it was and began to make my plans to leave the Muslim country I was living in, and am now back in the West. Well, it is, of course, possible to leave Islam but unfortunately you can't be as open about it as you'd like to in some circumstances.
