Can you hear that? The sound of a Catholic going underground as she yet again wonders why people look at her funny when she criticises other people's beliefs whistling2

Well - it´s obvious why people look funny at YOU. You are delusional is why.  Roll Eyes

I don´t give a rat´s fart about him not being catholic (was any of the candidates? ) - but I do care about him being part of a church (or any other organisation - church or black panthers or KKK - ssdd), that talks like  his does.

I'm delusional, hey, you're the one that believes all that religious junk, not me. For a board that is so obviously designed for those out of religion, it is amzing how you keep on taking pot shots at other faiths, as if being a catholic was not at all ridiculous. It's been pointed out before how hypocritical that is, and yet when ever you get the chance, you're in there.

You ARE delusional, live with it or wak up.
your accusation of me "taking pot shots at other faiths" here is something you pulled out of your behind. I take pot shots at the RACISM espoused in that church, not their faith - duh! Grow up, little boy.

I need to wake up, yes of course. You take pot shots all the time, if it ain't Islam it's whoever and their wacko cult - and you miss the irony of it completely. As for the racism angle, you know it's nonsense, as a smokescreen, it is useless.

I have to be honest, I wouldn't have voted if I had been an American because I had no preference either way, the leaders change but life remains the same.

The only time I think I would be a political activist with a clear mind and picture of why I was voting would be if Osama Bin Laden was running in the UK elections.  Cheesy

read this about Obama "distancing" himself from his "spiritual advisor" - sounds  a lot like "but I didn´t inhale" to me... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/us_elections/article3555561.ece

Read it. Big deal. I don't know what else Wright may have said but the comments quoted in that article can be called somewhat fuckwitted and a political liability, but that's about all. Nowhere was there any mention of Wright or Obama saying "how vile, disgusting and generally speaking superfluous whites are", as you put it.

Can you provide a link or are you just ranting?

Well that point went way over your head. Meh. I'll leave it and proceed to the next obvious point. Dio, someone was going to win the damned election and whoever won it would have control of the nukes. Shit happens. So the only question is which finger would you rather have on the button? Why would Palin be a better choice than Obama (bearing in mind that McCain is likely to drop dead soon)?

Yes, I've noticed. That isn't relevant here though. You have made an assertion and have no apparent way to support it.

How can you possibly call me an Obama follower after I've dismissed him as a leader Huh? Yeah, he'd be so chuffed to have me in his camp!

Where is this quote of his where he says all that stuff about white foljk? It sounds like the kind of tripe redneck Amerika would come up with to discredit him if you ask me, KKK speak for 'he's coloured!'

Well, yeah - supporting the killing of babies up to the point of them being almost out of their mother´s womb certainly is a morally superior pov.  Roll Eyes

Well (dont know if you are male or female) but if you are a woman and you get raped and wanna keep the baby, you are pretty brave, hats of to you.

I, personally, would have trouble doing that. Just sayin'. And I don't want any pretty little face telling me that my choice is right or wrong.

P.S. Abortion is completely legal upto 24 weeks for a reason, a medically researched reason.

A baby is a baby, a fetus is a fetus.

Anyway, I won't have an abortion debate in an Obama thread. Some people obviously think something until they are actually put in that position.

I'm not a catholic and I am against abortions after 12 weeks unless it endangers the mothers life or the baby is severely ill and would not survive anyway and that's all on how accurate the test is.

So I'm not impressed with Obama's stand.

Isn't he the lesser of two evils though?

Plus of course it's impressive that America finally has it's first African American president, it must be a momentous day to many African Americans who probably believed it would never happen.  Afro

For me McCain would have been the lesser of two evils - to use another cliche it was more a case of "better the devil you know".  But neither of the tickets impressed me at all, especially as the Republicans have, over the last few years, seemingly drifted away from the notion of limited government.

The election of a black president is an impressive milestone, but I am concerned as to how much of Obama's popularity is a result of his race - if his election was a result of "positive discrimination" it would be no better than a candidate who was rejected because of their race.  Martin Luther King described it as "a place where my children would be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin" and if Obama recieved support based on the colour of his skin then America has not yet progressed beyond racial politics, as the election of a black president should indicate.

I said the same thing about the race card on page 2 (I think) of this thread.  I would hope that he was voted in for his quality rather than just a desire to see a black president in America finally.

But honestly I think it was the race card that got him all the way in mostly.

I don't know his policies or McCains, which is why my lesser of 2 evils has a question mark, I didn't really read up much about it.
