Wise Haven sent me a link to a forum that contained this quote, which I think rings true in many ways, what do you think?

"I believe that every human and animal currently residing on this planet is a soul that has gone 'mental' and has somehow manifested itself into the physical Earth plane.

The soul did not do this deliberately, but IMO, whatever state it was in resulted in it being 'relegated' to the 'Earth' division.

Deep down, everyone is aware of this and is trying to escape back to REALITY. Unfortunately, most escape attempts take a wrong turn and end up in addiction street, ie drugs, alcohol, money, sex, food, TV, job, career, etc.

The souls that are the most insane try to escape by becoming addicted to the biggest wrong turn of all, which is power.

This is why the biggest lunatics on Earth are the ones that are 'in charge', ie, royalty, corporate bosses, presidents, prime minister's, etc."

I'm not in the mood for that level of cynicism. I'm feeling too at ease with the world. I also think that there are loonier people than presidents and prime ministers, although of course it depends on precisely which presidents and prime ministers you're referring to.

Take conspiracy theory wingnuts, the Rapture Ready crowd and the far right Yanks as a few examples of the really loony ones.
