Nav, while the descendents of the Gurus may have been Bhappas, the Gurus themselves were only serving the Jatt community. Please also don't deny that some of the very first Sikhs (Babba Buddha Ji -a Randhawa Jatt and and Bhai Bala Sandhu) were Jatts. When JattSikhs joined Sikhism in large numbers, Sikhism became more militaristic. This was simply a case of Jatt values rubbing off on Sikhism. Proof is how 12 of the Sikh Misls were either JattSikh lead or founded. Jatts saved Sikhism. Without Jatts Sikhism is a meaningless worthless religion.
