My 4 year old sister figured out how to cross her eyes and I asked her where she learned it. She said the witch from the 'exorcist place' taught her. I asked her where the witch was and she whispered "Up, up, high with Allah!".

     Shocked Grin

So, how does a 4 year old know about witches? Fascinating.

Mmmm, we never did Halloween. My Mum thought it was evil. Well, it was All Hallows then. I'm not sure where Halloween comes from: Hallows Evening perhaps?

Baal, I can't remember his name, but he was blue and very sad looking. I was truly upset by his martydom.

Halloween comes from all Hallows eve, an old pagan belief regarding one day in the year when all demonic creatures and spirits come out. We were taught a lot about it at Islamia, so that we wouldn't practise it. We were also taught the origins of a lot of other common supersitions so that we didn't do them either. No one thought to teach the origins of the one big superstition called religion though.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts. - Bertrand Russell

    And exorcists!?

Thanks for that , Awais. I was interested in the turnip ref. (no , I'm not Baldrick's cousin). When I was about 10, I tried to hollow out a turnip, which were used locally, to make a turnip lantern. Trouble is, I used an old safety razor blade and I've still got the scars on my thumb to prove it.

I dont remember my first experience. Exactly. But I know some of my early ones.

One of them was my mum teaching me the words to a hymn. My dad teaching me the words to a prayer.

Next one was in Pakistan. I was soo shattered I was sitting in the diwan hall in my dads lap and it was night time and fell asleep. Woke up on a matress.

w00t! What will your parents say if they hear that story? Will they think their daughter is a witch?

She whispered the Allah part. She is so smart. She knows not to say anything about Allah.

lol. I know its crazy . My brothers are very careless and let my younger sisters watch stuff including The Exorcist with them. Even though it was more than a year ago, she remembers. So she was trying to imitate a possessed person with the whole cross eyed thing.

As for witches, what awais said. The girl knows about exorcists, for petes sake! lol

I remember I had a hard time believing it at first, I simply wouldn't believe it and would laugh till I was threatened with hellfire/punishment...
