    I was thinking about attending Christmas Eve Mass at an Orthodox Church just for kicks. But I find it funny how a Messiah can be worshipped, "The prince of peace" while there clearly is no peace in the world, and the end times have been near for over 2000 years now.
    I chose to get circumcised at 17, don't tell me I never believed.

    Orthodox celebrate christmas later, since they don?t use the gregorian calendar.

    And DO read Rene Girard?s book about mimetic processes, and how christianity DOES make a difference!  Afro (I saw Satan fall from the sky like lightnign, a critical apology of christianity).

    LOL! No, certainly not. Usually, we make the rounds, visiting friends and family. dunno why it?s boxing day in English. In German it?s St. Stephen.

    Being in the states, I always assumed Boxing Day was the day everybody finally put away all the boxes from their Christmas gifts. *shrug*

    We don't celebrate Boxing Day in the states. We just look at it marked on the calendar and scratch our heads. Tongue

    We don't in Ireland either - the 26th is St. Stephen's Day.  I think Boxing Day is just an English thing.

    I could never believe that there was only one day of public holiday in the US for Christmas.  In the UK you get Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year as well.  If you have 3 days of holiday left, you can take these and end up with 10 days of work in a row!

    One of the many reasons I will never be moving to the US.

    It's traditional in most of the UKs rural areas for the blokes to go hunting, shooting and fishing with your mates and male relatives.  I started to go with my Grandad from the age of 4.
