  • Worst Film Ever.
     OP - January 16, 2009, 06:38 PM

    My vote goes to....

The "plot" (for want of a better word)...

    Quote
Molly and her father have inherited a house in Ireland nicknamed "Misfortune Manor"(a house that brings misfortune to all residents). Soon Molly discovers a leprechaun living in the house, and she befriends him. Unfortunately he has no luck because he hasn't eaten a four-leaf clover in over a hundred years. When the bad luck begins to rub off on Molly, she gets into all kinds of trouble. She soon turns things around by growing a four-leaf clover so the leprechaun can use his magic.

Beat that for sheer unadulterated crapness.   popcorn

     Cheesy

    Mine goes to:

    Quote
Classic vampire myth meets the MTV generation in the Michael Rymer movie version of the Anne Rice novels. This passed gothic tale now becomes the modern punk for today's generation, that brings Lestat de Lioncourt (Stuart Townsend) from his slumber and bored with his existence has now become this generations new Rock God. While in the course of time, another has arisen, Akasha (Aaliyah, 1979 - 2001), the Queen of the Vampires, the Queen of the Dammed. He want's immortal fame, his fellow vampires want him eternally dead for his betrayal, and the Queen want's him for her King. Who will be the first to reach him? Who shall win the final battle of the vampires and survive?

I know a whole bunch of people enjoyed, but I actually cried at the bastardisation of one of my all time favourite anne rice books. (not even joking about the crying part lol)

    Awesome book, awful movie.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Queen of the Damned?  That was DIRE.  Even Stuart Townsend with his top off couldn't save it.   Cry

Still not as bad as the sad tale of the unlucky leprechaun though.  Keep 'em coming folks......

Oh, I reckon Arnie in (I think) 'Young Hercules' or some such must eclipse even the Darwah diddlyman imbecile.

Here's two that broke two brand new crap-o-meters:
The day the earth stood still.
War of the Worlds (the Tommy Cruise version).

Everytime "science" (which is falsely called so), "discovers" something new, evolutionists have to go back and change some parts of one of their theories. Amazingly enough, no scientific discovery has ever caused Biblical creationists to have to change their stand.

Yeah, they were both flops in my eyes, hyped up and such a let down.

All terrible dross indeed.  Has anybody else seen this one?

Its completely shit.  The flying saucers look like saucepan lids held up by strings, and the women are permanently screaming.

     Roll Eyes

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I remain.

     Lmao

Ok, I concede. That is even better (aka worse) than the unlucky shamrock muncher.

That's quite possibly the worst film ever made, (with the possible exception of Debbie Does The Dishes, Part 3).  I doubt anyone will find a worse one than that.

"From dusk till dawn"- it was all going splendidly then -holy fuck- all of a sudden it's a shit vampire movie.

Thought "Point Break" was dire too.

And while you're at it , I would also avoid "The Next karate kid" next time you're in Blockbuster.

' I am Sam' - patronising , manipulative nonsense with Sean Penn 'acting' his little heart out . Horrible

'Dogma '  - I'm glad Kevin Smith and his buddies had so much fun making this , but in future keep the home movies for your living room Kev . Should've retired after Clerks .

The English Patient  - typical middle brow , mediocre Miramax oscar bait , not even Willem Dafoe could redeem it .

All the Star Wars films - a sinister plot to reduce a whole generation of men to gibbering idiots

Totally agree about Dogma,  what a pile of stupid.  The first Star Wars movie was a good one though.  Shame they had to go and make 18 shite sequels, but I like the first one.

Never seen the other two movies you mentioned.

I thought his mannerisms were really good. I loved the IHOP scene.

What was so mediocre about this film? The acting was clear and believable, it was interesting that the burnt man is telling the story, can't say the romances were cliche, and it was a very beautiful film.

What about Artificial Intelligence. That's got to be the shittest thing (one of em anyways) to come out on film

No it wasnt. Dont lie. If I saw that little robot piece of shit, I'd cut his head off and shove the mess down his neck. Fucking shittest movie of all time. Who had the brain full of shit and thought it would be passable?

I totally agree with you on that one.  I thought the same thing... Movie starts out as a taut Tarantino thriller then just goes stupid in half a second once the blood and body parts start flying.

Disagree!  This movie has become a cult classic!  Cheesy dialogue to memorize and shout back at the screen when watching the DVD.  "I AM AN F.B.I. AGENT!!!"  Of course, I'll watch anything with Patrick Swayze in!

I just avoid Blockbuster, period.  Go with Netflix/Lovefilm.  DVD rentals delivered to youre doorstep, can't go wrong with that!
