Newbie...be gentle

Hello all

New to the forum but not new to the idea that Islam is not for me anymore. Been about 2 years now that Ive basically been sitting on the fence about it...Im at the point where I could go over to the "dark side" with the slightest touch.

Im hoping this is the place for me to make up my mind once and for all.

Tell us a bit more about yourself, if you wish to do so. What started the examination or the struggle of keeping your faith?

Welcome. You'll find a mixed bunch of people here, at all sides of the spectrum. After getting involved in a few debates, you'll probably get a clearer understanding of where you stand.

The sitting on the fence phase can last a long time. Some people spend the majority of their life sitting on the fence. There's practically nothing Islamic about their behaviour or attitude, except when they celebrate eid twice a year and keep the occasional fast.

But once you're over that fence, boy do you feel liberated.

Just be greatful that you have an inquisitive mind.

Welcome to the group. But just watch out in case you fall into the other pit with the people of the other book.

Knowing Islam is the only true religion we do not allow propagation of any other religion. How can we allow building of churches and temples when their religion is wrong? Thus we will not allow such wrong things in our countries. - Zakir Naik
