Help with message icons and links

I have two problems can you guys help me please?

1) I can't use the smileys, I copy and try to paste them but it doesn't work that way.

2) I can't paste links, I copy and paste the links but they don't lead anywhere.

I've quite a few links I'd like to paste and I'd like to use the smileys too, but I can't I'm not very tech savvy, and I've not used any forums before.

To use a smiley all you have to do is click on the smiley. You don't need to copy and paste.

Wrt the links, the one I corrected for you didn't work because you had 30K at the end of the link. You need to copy and paste the link with no extraneous characters for it to work.
