  • A Tribute to History
     OP - February 06, 2009, 08:54 PM

    No not that History.

There was a poster on ummah.com called History. He was a Jewish guy who was on there for all the years I was there and was a true inspiration. I admired and respected him so much. He showed so much love and compassion and understanding in the midst of a great deal of hate and scorn (though many Muslims loved him too). He was eventually banned and since I have been banned too I have lost contact with him.

I had cause to remember him.

I wonder if anyone her remembers him?

Anyway - I salute the guy. If ever there was someone who should be made a Saint by the Pope, then it is this Jewish man - recommended by an ex-Muslim.

Hopefully the Pope reads our forum and will act accordingly.  grin12

I've never hung out at ummah.com so I'm not familiar with the dude in question but he sounds like a worthy candidate for beatification.

Do you know why he got banned? he seemed like a really nice guy.down to earth and did try to be respectful towards muslims . i think the mods there have gone on a banning frenzy and most good or moderate posters have been forced out. And cheif nutcase AbuMuburak is more bonkers now than he ever was.

We are in favor of tolerance, but it is a very difficult thing to tolerate the intolerant and impossible to tolerate the intolerable.

He, THHuxley and Hassan were my favourite posters on ummah.com

In fact, I recall a time back when I followed Islam when I went through a really rough patch in my life and started cursing allah out. When I ranted about it on ummah, most posts expressed shock and horror. People told me I had gone beyond the pale of Islam, needed to repent and retake my Shahadah, etc. History simply said something to the effect that since I was cussing god it showed that I still made god a central part of my life. That one small statement made me feel so much better about everything.

I've read some of History's posts, he was probably banned for being too well liked by the muslim posters.  A bit of a threat for a Jewish poster on Ummah, at least that's the way chief nutjob Abu Marak would see it,

Someone should tell this guy to come here. It seems this is where people come when they are banned from every other place.

oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!"

I don't remember you though. I guess you look different without the wig and dress.

Funny i was in papua niu guini for 3 weeks few month ago, we must have ran into each other,

"Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, 'Tell the Apostle the truth.'"
