Women are so smart...and yet so stupid

Ive often wondered about how Muslims view female converts to Islam. It seems when we are newly converted we are the epitome of intelligence and heaped with reasoning skills which lead us to Islam and guided us to the Truth...and Showed us the Light...(insert religious euphimism here) etc...Muslims view us as beautiful and a treasure and proclaim loudly to everyone that we are "converts" so for sure God loves us...we are soooo special because we seen the error of kafir religions and ensured our place in Heaven...by converting....we are treated like Rock Stars and people want to touch us (no lie)....blah blah blah...and then....

Once the shine has worn off the strangest thing happens...suddenly we are unintelligent beings that cannot make rational decisions...we are deficient in our deen and Hell is full of us. We cant be depended upon to give accurate testimony and we surely cant decidewhat to do with our own bodies...minds...and lives. We have become "walking fitna" and something that every Muslim man must protect himself from...

Im wondering something here...WTF!!!?

Hi coolred,

Your observations are spot on. Not that I've experienced anything similar as I'm a closet apostate from Islam born to Muslim parents, but I can understand how converts can become the poster-boys/girls for the ordinary Muslim. It seems kinda natural to praise and respect people who have adopted a view that you also share. Nothing unusual there in my opinion. However, Islamic communities are different in that certain Muslims will start backbiting and some will want to make you shut up because you have dared to question or criticize the perfect religion.

I dont get how any honest, intelligent and well read woman could take all that in - in fact I haven't seen any that have. IMO I find this group are either agnostic, or never talk about religion.
