     OP - February 26, 2009, 07:44 PM

    Hi,

I created a list (based on another list in a subforum) that shows some information about the ex-Muslims registered here.

Click right and then Save As. I only tested for Opera 9.6 and Firefox 3. If you're an IE person, please take my advice and change to Firefox, Opera or Safari.
    http://github.com/alsanaaziz/salam/raw/master/misc/COEM_ex-Muslims.xhtml

It would be great if you helped to make this list complete, also please correct me if some information is wrong. Hope you like it.

Nice one, really positive thing to do

Unless it's a death list made to identify us so we can be hacked and harrassed? Just kidding.

Anyway, here's some info about me, I would edit it myself but I dont know how to do such a thing:

UK, Karma and Luck, Ideology, fallacies and barbaric practices

"I am ready to make my confession. I ask for no forgiveness father, for I have not sinned. I have only done what I needed to do to survive. I did not ask for the life that I was given, but it was given nonetheless-and with it, I did my best"

Karma & Luck - what do you mean by that?

Secondly Ziaz is from the UK and is a humanist I think..

Anybody inclined to harm us would easily find the info themselves. In my opinion the list should serve as a kind of visual message to the Muslims and non-Muslims alike, that our numbers are growing. It's also there to answer some questions many would be curious about, it's like a little survey maybe.

Next I think I will add a column which gives the estimated years for how long somebody considered him/herself a conscious Muslim. I'll add more if somebody can suggest more interesting info, which should be non-identifying and not personal of course.

Anyway, here's some info about me, I would edit it myself but I dont know how to do such a thing:

Thanks. I updated it. I'm the only person who can do that, it's a rather technical thing used by software engineers. A wiki would probably be better for an interactive community. I chose my style because it has two advantages over a wiki: the whole data can be easily downloaded and distributed, and I can write little scripts that do very interesting things, something which wikis don't offer afaik.

i agree that more people are dissenting from traditional islam. but the list of muslims is far more extensive than this forum, which is (no offense) pretty small...

There were easily 50 towelians at one point... and i've met over 80 online and a few in real life... and that's not even counting the haters at FFI and elsewhere.

it's a slow process and it won't make much of a difference until we become rooted as a positive topic of discourse amongst mainstream liberal muslims.

TRASH - The Rationalist Apostate Society for Humanity!

Take a look for a few laughs and thoughtful discussions with a wide range of audience - fellow apostates, Muslims, sufis, non-Muslims, Christians, etc

True, I think that will be the critical point.  When we become people with an alternative viewpoint, rather than those who have gone on the wrong side.

If there were that many towellians, where have they gone.  Why dont you get them to join here?

I'm only on Linux. I don't know why it doesn't work on your system. Don't you get displayed anything, like a plain table? Do you get an error message from the browser? Be more detailed, please.

Okay, that's the XHTML markup of the file. You have to save it to the disk, then open it. I know it's a bit annoying to go through these steps, but I can't set an option (socalled mimetype) so that the file is directly displayed in the browser.

Wtf, you guys need to take a course in English

I thought I formulated it simply enough so that a layperson can understand it. Or is anything wrong with it grammatically?

No, grammar and punctuation is fine.  Only problem is that its written in what looks like hieroglyphics, and none of us are ancient Egyptians (apart from Baal  Wink)

You're going to end up with a pretty big list.

There's an estimated 1.4 billion people who adhere to Islam.

Any rational thinking Muslim will tell you its a load of crap.

Hope your hard disk is big enough.

I don't worry about that Smiley. I'm only concerned with people who have left Islam and who registered here.
