  • Evolution Day instead of Ascension Day (Easter?)

This is a funny kids video from German TV with subtitles. (Yopu need to watch the bits after Darwin's song lol)

(I love this video, but if we lived in a world that imposed atheism I would hate it - does anyone understand why?)

I understand why as well. It comes down to searching for the truth and coming to your own conclusions, not having a monolithic viewpoint forced on you.

Great find, though, and makes me think of Marc Bolan too Wink

I liked it. However, I wouldn't condone teaching Evolution in such a way as to refute a supernatural being like God. The objective should be to make the children understand the theory, so it should be taught in a neutral way. Of course, that won't always be possible, since parents tell their children that the myths in their scriptures are true, so some religious and vocal kids will object to what the teacher says...

Evolution Day instead of Ascension Day would be fantastic, but it's not that important atm.

No?  (apart from the word imposed, not sure if any belief should be imposed)
