I say a real friend wouldnt have to read that to see if they like you or not.

Let me say this though. We all have opinions, and they might not be the same. I would know. But friendship goes beyond that. If it doesnt, then it wasnt friendship.

You'd be hard pressed to piss me off properly. Only a few times have I really lost it and never regretted it.

If there is good in Islam?

In my opinion, a Muslim can get to God. At the end of the day, they remember God through prayer and devotion, they live honest lives and all that. Most Muslims are good human beings. It annoys me how a minority can ruin it for everyone else.

From what I read further on, losing Islam hit you hard. At the end of the day, you spoke from the heart and said what you felt. If they cant accept that, then that's their fault, not yours. But you have to stay true to yourself. You no longer believe and have to help yourself move on.

    You're a decent guy awais.

Some people might have been a little shocked & disappointed by what you said, but we all have our moments when we say things we dont really mean.

Saying things like that are quite acceptable as a Muslim, and it is easy to forget and be quite blase about it amongst non-muslims

Dont worry about it, ask for forgiveness in the bazarkh confession booth.  far away hug

As you've just said, we are all entitled to our opinions. The problem with Islam cannot be confined to a hypothetical fundamentalist minority alone. The xenophobic attitude and the convenient silence of the Islamic majority is the real problem.

I agree. I'm officially done with trying to apologize for Muslims.

I just recently realized that Muslims rarely condemn the actions of fellow Muslims on moral grounds. All they say is 'this isn't the real Islam' and then go on to blame the western media or something for the propaganda. They aren't concerned with what happens to the women in Afghanistan because they're more worried about Islam's reputation being tarnished.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I remain.
