Did Maurice Bucaille convert to Islam?

I cant find a confession anywhere. I read on answeringislam he never converted but it is a biased site. I was wondering if anyone had any concrete evidence either way?

There is no proof anywhere that he ever converted at any time, so it means he didn't.

As far as I know, he never converted. He was too busy rollin in the dough the Saudi govt. gave him.

He never converted to Islam. His book is also rubbish.
