Unlikely ratings and views?

Look at the views and ratings on this video that is only a couple of days old?

That can't be true?

What's going on?

And I have seen that with many videos by other people that quite clearly could not have had (and certainly don't deserve) so many ratings and views.

btw I love Edward Current, but this is def NOT one of his best vids - so I am not saying watch it - just look at the views and ratings)

Subscriptions mean you get updates when new videos arrive. And when you watch it, even if you think it is shit and only watch a few seconds, that is logged as an entry.

By the way, my sister DID have her bunny rabbit neutered the other day. Poor thing. Anyway, he was a Christian who then converted to Islam. You can see him doing Wudu every day as well! Washes his face, behind his ears... He looks so cute!

The answer is votebots. Like spambots but programmed to rate YouTube vids high or low (usually 1 or 5 stars depending). They'll also favourite vids if you set them to do that. The ones I had heard of before were employed by Christian or Muslim fundies who wanted to nobble anyone who criticises them, but it looks like others might be getting in on the act. Actually after having watched that Edward Current video I think the ratings on that one would have been done by fundies who were too stupid to realise he was taking the piss. Some of them really would do that.
