    Aw, I like Eddie...

    He's kind of endearing:

Peace be upon you and thank you for tuning into the Deen Show.
Let's try and give you an Idea on who we are and what were all about. Let's start out with this word "Deen" just so you understand that when we use the word "Deen" that were not actually talking about some guy named Deen.

I think he means well... even if he's not dawah's most sophisticated foot forward.

I used to love the Deen Show. I've watched some shows recently (actually I was watching the one you posted about a week ago) and can't believe how I didn't see just how superficial everything they say about Islam is. It's all about "worship to the One True Creator!" and that's all you need to know people.

I like Dean because he seems like a genuine guy who is just trying to do good, which is why one of the first things I did after I left Islam was to send him an email. I didn't expect him to answer, but I just pointed out that he should do some deeper research into Islam before trying to spread it and mislead people, and I added FFI as a place to look. He actually replied that same day, saying I should reexamine my decisions and worship the One True Creator, and attacking Ali Sina's character. He was still courteous in his response though.

Anyways, I would approve of the show if it was aimed at Muslims since at least it aims to be moderate and peaceful. It's definitely aimed at non-Muslims though, and as such I find it to be simply deceitful.

It's so obvious a lot of the time when Dean is interviewing Sheikhs that he tries to lead them to the "right" answer. I noticed this even before I de-converted, but I found it funny at the time. Now it really bothers me.

    Like in this video...

Apparently the ultimate proof to the fact that Muslims are supposed to be good to non-Muslims is that the Prophet lived among many Jewish tribes. I love how Yusuf Estes forgets to mention the massacres of said Jewish tribes  Roll Eyes

Their intro song IS kinda catchy, though  Tongue
