Kope, that may be true in some circumstances although I am inclined to agree with Astaghfirullah. Personally I don't need to feel fear to stop me wanting to hurt other people. Not wanting to hurt other people just naturally seems to be my default setting.

On the other hand, I think it should be obvious that a lot of the time when people feel fear this can motivate them to hurt others, so fear itself is not quite as beneficial as you might like to think it is.

If disbelief wasn't punishable than most Muslims wouldn't care enough to believe. I'm sure (like many Christians) hell is the biggest factor for them. Youve just admitted that it is for you.
