    Quote
I think its insulting to Christians and Jews.

I think you'll find Dawkins is including Allah in his definition of "the Old Testament God."  In fact, many of the barbs he levels at Christianity are also barbs at Islam - eg, the story of Lot, Noah's Ark, creationism.  I doubt Dawkins is unaware that those things are in the Qur'an, even though he mainly criticises them from an ex-Christian perspective.

Im not an ex-muslim, whatever gave you that idea?

You said this on the "Light Discussion on Atheism," thread:

    Quote from: Hassan
You don't believe in Islam any more do you AW?

    Quote from: Arab Wannabe
You're the second person to ask me that on this thread alone.

I think Ill just stick to my old job, people clearly aren't confortable if I act out of character.

    BCM is back, Hassan!

Thats a big NO, in case you were wondering.

So I thought you were an ex Muslim.

I can see why there would be confusion - No I havent stopped being a Muslim

So what exactly have you stopped? Believing in Islam?

That was Hassan's question & you answered emphatically in the affirmative.

Yes, I phrased it incorrectly - I mean:  "No I havent stopped believing"

On a scale of 1-100, how sure are you that the Quran is true, and Allah created us?

What makes you believe AW?The first proclamation of faith is that Allah is the only God & Mohammed is His Prophet.

You're sure that Allah can be a God?

That Muhammad with his multiple unpleasant actions can be chosen by a God to be the Last Prophet?

That atheists,Buddhists, Hindus, Neo Pagans, Wiccans all burn in Hell for Eternity however good for not believing?

That wife beating is good ?

Are all these stuff that agree with your conscience?

Or are you a believer coz you made some great North African friends whose religion is Islam & you liked accepting their faith?

In that case, would your faith be different had your friends been Thai Buddhists or Iranian Bahais?

Is good friends good enough reason for believing stuff?
