Truth About The Quran!

Hi everybody! Have you seen this website about the Quran and all the mistakes and contradictions in it?

I particularly enjoyed reading the part about the origin of the writing of the Quran and how it was Othman who first assembled it after the death of Mohamed.

I have reached a conclusion that the Quran today is actually what Othman wanted it to be and not as what Mohamed wanted!!! Because, history says that Othman gathered what ever written piece of paper (or skin) he could find then edited it as he saw fit!

Well the claim is that he merely had it "standardised" by getting rid of the dodgey bits. Allah would not allow the Quran to become corrupted.

Uthman also ordered all the other copies to be burned.

I am on there now, but cant find the bit about Othman - where is it?

However, according to other historical accounts Abraham never traveled to the Arabian Peninsula. The Bible teaches that Abraham was called from Haran to the land of Canaan (see Genesis 12) and there built an alter to God in the land promised to him and his offspring. The Biblical account in Genesis never mentions Abraham traveling to the Arabian Peninsula, nor does it say that he and Ishmael built the Kaaba. If the Quranic account was true the Jews would have sanctified the Kaaba long before Mohamed's time. Moreover, history does not support the Kaaba's antiquity or its connection to Abraham. Historical evidence indicates that the Kaaba was simply a pagan temple used to worship Saturn. In fact, the Kaaba in Mecca is only one of many. There were approximately 20 Kaaba-style temples in surrounding Arab lands including: Al- Lat House, Najran Kaaba, the Shaddad Kaaba, Ghatfan Kaaba and the Du-Khesla House (The Kaaba in Yemen). Before Mohamed's time a poet named Zohair Ibn Abi Salma mentions that the ones who built the Kaaba came from the Quraish tribe. His poem reads: "I swear by the house, which the people turn around, who also built it, the Quraish and the Georhem." (The Georhem was a tribe that lived around Mecca at the same time as the Quraish)

I wasn't aware that there were other Kaaba's.

I actually read it in the Arabic version of the website...

Here I will translate as I could, but later I will try to find it in the English version of the site..

We read in books dealing with the history of the Quran that Ibin-Massoud had refused to write Surat Al-Fatihah and Surat Al-Falaq and Surat Al-Nass, and said that this was not from the Quran....

Ibn Masood was well recognized as one of the people who wrote the Quran during the life and after the death of the prohpet Muhamed. In the history of Islam he was held high by the Sunnis and Shiites alike, has opposed the idea of unified Quran for Muslims suggested by Othman. Ibn Masood was ignored by the Committee formed by Othman...,

"he said of the Zaid Bin Thabet, Chairman of the Committee on the codification of the Quran: I have read in the presence of the Messenger of Allah over seventy Surats, at the time when Ibin Zaid was playing with the boys (implying that Zaid Bin Thabet was just a little boy when the Quran was made). He also said: I have heard the Holy Quran from the Prophet's mouth, and Al-Fatiha was not a Quran, it was just a prayer by the prophet, and it should not have been included in the Quran..
