Just saying hi to the gang!

Hey guys!

Just saying hi, joined a while back, but I havent had time to formally post until today.
A bit about myself:
I am a Canadian living in the Greater Toronto Area and I'm currently enjoying the freedom that comes with leaving Islam!
I am glad to say that I finally left my indoctrinated childhood and now the gloves are off; I've made it my mission to take as many people with me as I can

I'm disheartened when I look at the backwards state of the middle east, north africa and south asia created by Islam. I hope that other people, such as ourselves, will eventually see through the lies of charlatans such as Zakir Naik and Adnan Oktar(Harun Yahya) and find real science and real rationality.

It took me a while to leave Islam, but I couldnt have done it without the help of fellow muslims (for showing how stupid religion is) and contemporary writers such as Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens.

Welcome to the forum Diem. I still remember what it felt like when I officially officially left Islam. How liberating it was!

^ You can take me I hope to bring others along too, but an attempt to discuss things seriously with my cousins/aunts without giving away my complete disbelief in islam has failed thus far. lol.

Freedom does not equal slavery to an apathetic, cruel god like the one "god" all Abrahamic religions worship. That's slavery to a monster. Submission to an idea perpetuated by Arab warlords. Within the last month, I have upped the anti - and literally been circulating my blog to my uncles & aunties. Conversations at my mum & dads home usually centres around Islam, and as I am now pretty much open about my opinions, I can often get involved in heated arguments. Thats one of the reasons I wrote my blog and keep it updated with titbits I like from COEM.

They often ask why I no longer believe in Islam, and instead of giving a fuddled & concise answer that looks like I havent really thought about it and later getting involved in a heated debate, I just given them a copy of my 15 page blog (linked on my signature) the next time I see them. They usually never get involved in the subject again!

I see that there are some trolls on this forum, (Kope) is there a list of known trolls or even muslims who come here to debate you guys? I'd like to see some of these "debates", I'll try searching using the search function but if anyone has a particular one bookmarked, please tell me

An oxymoron - trolls dont debate, and by their very nature are just inflammatory - this is the most popular discussion and had 14000 hits! http://www.councilofexmuslims.com/index.php?topic=4153.0 and was on the bible.

For an Islamic one, you could run a search for BMZ , he was a semi muslim troll, and he showed inclinations for debate but tended to run away when he was on a losing streak..
