Big bushy mullah beards hardly look good.

Short, well kept beards can really suit some guys. For example, most people say that Abhishek Bachchan looks better with a beard than without, and I agree.

After looking at myself in the mirror yesterday, I thought I looked too young and didn't look as good without a beard. I reckon it depends on the person. David Beckham definitely looks better with a beard. As does Wayne Rooney. Lol

No I don't generally like full beards, some guys can pull if off I guess. I like either the rough shave look, my boyfriend has a natural style! to his beard lol

I voted no, although I think there should be more options in the poll, such as 'only if it suits him' or 'styled beard' or 'rough look' etc

I like stubble and a nicely trimmed beard. The full-on Taliban-style beard is a complete turnoff for me though.

Also, it depends on the individual male whether a beard suits his features or not.

If you think about evolution, surely it would be advantageous for women to like beards

I like beards and esp. the ones that you see indie musicians wearing where they look a little grizzly, a little back to the earthy, a little hippy but not so full on hippy dippy. Like Fleet Foxes and Avett Brotherss.

LOVE, LOVE Dave Grohl...He had to go get married and ruin my future life with him. :( (Any chance he'll convert to Islam, move to an Islamic country and take me as a 2nd wife??? Didn't think so).
He is an example of who looks better w/a beard. I cannot stand just a mustache on a guy. But, as others have posted, a beard can look great on some guys

Only applies to stubble. Doesn't apply to beards if they're longer than a #4. I've been told that they also have the benefit that a girl can snog you for ages without getting a rash as there's no scratchies. Nice and soft. Contrast with "fiveo'o'clock shadow". Also if the beard and mo are well-trimmed they don't get in your gob when you're snogging either.

Summary: teh face hair, in moderation, is actually quite popular with some ladies for practical reasons as well as the look.
