    Hey guys,

    got my coffee here and I'm lounging about.

    Whats going on?


    Personally, I've decided that I'm going to do what Hassan does, his videos are great and I think I'm going to emulate him. BUT I wont be start for quite a while. I've got alot of work coming up in the next few months so hopefully somewhere around December - March I might start.  Smiley

    So back to you guys, whats going on?

    Good idea, I think youtube should have more useful and informative videos and less fecking junk. Your videos would be the former hopefully, most videos on there are the latter.

    I thought about doing youtube videos, I even bought a fairly decent camera for it, unfortunately I then realised that my voice is absolutely horrible and doesn't work for anything. Maybe I'll go back to videos and find some way around my problem.

    Apart from that it's Saturday morning and the weather is shite, what's going on in canada?

    There should be more ex-muslim videos on youtube, they can be submitted anonymously so cant see why not.  I have been thinking about it recently..  if someone could do the funny hadith that would be brilliant

    TIPS & HINTS WELCOME.

    I guess if anyone was to ever produce a youtube video, we would need to:

    i) Prepare a script first
    ii) Record it using some software or hardware
    iii) Find some images
    iv) Insert images using the same or another piece of software

    Anyone know of any software for ii) to iv) that would be suitable for a novice, or got any tips & hints?

    I was just going to ask the same thing. Maybe we can consult Hassan? I know you can use Windows Movie Maker, but I'm not familiar with with the A.V. field.

    Brilliant, I didnt realise the software was sitting right beneath my nose.

    I use iMovie that came with my Mac.

    I used to just recored the whole thing on it but now that I don't show my face and prepare a script, I record it. (I use Garageband that came free with my Mac), then drag the sound into iMovie and add pictures. I find all the pics (or movies downloaded using keepvid) and just drag them in. Of course I select them carefully and make sure it all fits nicely with the words.

    And hey presto - you're a youtube star!  lol grin12

    Hass - where do you get images from?  I am thinking about doing an in-depth Youtube video (maybe 5 parts) about why I left Islam using my blog (I dont think there is much like that available at the moment, but will be for people who are thinking of apostating).

    What do you think?  Any ideas, as it will be lengthy and very wordy, and want to reduce these affects as much as possible whilst still meeting my objectives above.

    I find all my images on Google - apart from personal images that I upload.

    I would not make it too wordy, IsLame - simple, concise and to the point - no waffle or unnecessary content - that's my advice Smiley

    I agree it wont be for the typical user, or atheists nor something I would necessarily watch myself!  

    Its for those who have heard the individual arguments & maybe at a turning point.  Its the reasons I beame an ex-muslim, and it shows it was not done to a handful of reasons alone.  They can easily pick at single arguments.

    Those that could do with a single source, those that dont read a lot of literature and are internet/youtube savvy, a visual document I suppose.

    My worry is that YouTube, after all the effort, will pull it down.  You've read parts of my blog before, do you think that is possible?

    Worrying about a few things, same here IsLame, youtube videos were one of the things that helped me finally decide to become an ex-muslim, by listening to arguements from all sides including the crazy.

    Why should they pull it down? I can't see any reason that they would.

    There are loads of vids like that. Just put it in an intelligent manner and not a crass manner and you'll be fine, I'm sure.
