One more Hadith

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:

"The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: If one of you marries a woman or buys a slave, he should say: "O Allah, I ask Thee for the good in her, and in the disposition Thou hast given her; I take refuge in Thee from the evil in her, and in the disposition Thou hast given her." When he buys a camel, he should take hold of the top of its hump and say the same kind of thing."

Abudawood, Al-Nikah (marriage), Hadith Hassan.

I'd never come across this hadith, but why;

why women are the ones always linked to evil?

why can't SHE pray like that and ask for the good in him, etc?

why is she often equated to objects and animals?

Probably because the prevailing attitude at the time was that women were lesser beings than men and were merely chattel for men to trade, barter and shag at their will.

I think the Xtian influence in Arabia may have had something to do with the idea of women possessing more evil than men.

Islam is one big joke, but at least its not on us:

Bukhari Volume 7, Book 71, Number 614

A man came to the prophet and said, "My brother has got loose motions (diarrhea). "

The Prophet said, Let him drink honey. The man again said, "I made him drink (honey) but that made him worse??

The Prophet said, "Allah has said the Truth, and the abdomen of your brother has told a lie".

Interesting but on a slightly seperate note, do you think Mo tried anal sex, he must have with all those wives and slaves simply out of intrigue.

Take the Pakman challenge and convince me there is a God and Mo was not a murdering, power hungry sex maniac.

I'm not so sure, I think he must have had a bad experience with it and so banned it. Oh well fudge packing is not for everyone.

I agree with Pakman. Mohammed must have tried it with all that booty floating around. Any dude that has slave girls all over the place and a taste for young stuff is defo bent enough to try the back door. Goes without saying. Maybe he grabbed one of them at the wrong time (since they couldn't say no) and copped an explosion for his trouble.
