i made it this far without having fasted ONCE! lets see how long i can keep this up before my mother forces me out of bed in the middle of the night...

on another note, was talking about fasting with my dad today and he said that most people dont really get 'the point' of it all.. he said its not just about eating and drinking or wtv, doing bad deeds should break your fast just as much as anything else, but nobody really cares about that..

if only most muslims could be as sincere as my dad, they would be a little more bearable. sadly that will never happen...

In my local Greggs, there is a sign that says "After the fast, is the feast! Open till late during Ramadhan!"

I can't believe they are opening late just so they can sell a few more cheese and onion pasties.

Religion - The hot potato that looked delicious but ended up burning your mouth!

Zakir Naik is a liar/ignoramous. His views on evolution are laughable and no smart person would take him seriously. Not to sound mean, but I think he can get away form it because the audience he usually addresses are weak and ignorant people, who would never do research by themselves.

I remember this science mag article (the one below comes close) explaining that if REM sleep is deprived, then the mind is deprived of learning.

I think waking up early in the morning purely to pray in itself is a good indoctrinating mechanism.
