    Some men aspire to be gods, while others just want to shack up with them. The latter is the case for V K Saxena, a 72 retired railway man from India, who has donned bangles, skirt and makeup in imitation of Radha, the goddess lover of Krishna.

    Saxena claimed that he felt more spiritual awakening in this form.

    He also added, ?The Lord told me he wanted me as his bride.?

    And he is not the only one. Thousands more are going for the Radha look.

    While it has been deemed an up-and-coming cult, it is more likely that they belong to a controversial sub-sect of Hinduism called Sakhi-Bekhi.

    The highest goal for followers of this sect is to emulate Radha. They imitate all aspects of a woman?s life, from twirly skirts to monthly menstruation cycles. Some of the more hardcore devotees might even opt for the eunuch route.

    On the other hand, the more conservative Hindu leaders are displeased with this sudden increase of cross-dressing Radhas.

    Senior priest Mohammad Ahangar said: ?There are many ways to be closer to the Lord without trying to be his girlfriend.?
