  • Uk'ers, anyone tempted to put their heating on?
     OP - September 15, 2009, 09:31 AM

Inspite of how much it is going to cost me, I am freezing and I want to put the heating on.

Is it too early for this? lol

When do you typically put on your heating once summer starts to drift away?

My father wouldn't dream of putting it on until late november, december because he is a tight fisted git.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

For the price of your heating bill you could probably fly to a warmer climate. Just a thought.  parrot

My Russian blood protects me from the cold  Cheesy

But the rest of the family put it on for about 2 hours once a night now-we started about a week ago.

Why not get a space heater you plug into the wall?

I chose to get circumcised at 17, don't tell me I never believed.

Do you have insulation etc etc at your house? You know, double glazing, loft insulation etc?

My moroccan blood means I need heat, but my english blood doesn't, so my heating usulaly goes on and off, many times in the day lol as the two sides of me battle it out.  Right now I need heat though.  yes

Awais electricity is almost as pricey as heating here so its useless to use those electricity guzzling extra radiators.

Anyway you only have two options burbs-dress up or turn on for just a few hours and hopefully the insulation should keep the heat in for the rest of the day.

That Morrocan blood is keeping you down.

I'm sitting here comfortably in tshirt and shorts without the heating on.

    Finally being fat pays off!

You two can keep your scorpion and snake attracting climates of 30'c during autumn! I mentally break down in anything over 20C anyway-I flourish in 10'c.

That's why I hate travelling south of Calais and I love Denmark.

It's warm here, could be because I had my hoodie on and had tea, but I like the idea of colder days to put the heating on and get all cosy Smiley guess it's easy to say when you're not paying the bill lol. Like Henri, my brain doesn't function well when it's hot.

My room is a little warm thanks to the laptop! I really can't call it a laptop anymore ... perhaps a burnlap-top. We had our boiler fixed and radiators checked just yesterday.

Oh me too, don't get me wrong, snugging up is lovely. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one contemplating putting the heat on already.  Tongue
