who has access to them? what are they hiding?

Staff have access as does the member who started the thread and a few others. We are hiding personal information of a member that may have lead to them getting into serious trouble.

It makes me very sad to hear that the world today still home for some nut cases (well, maybe too many) who in the name of an imaginary friend would kill you. :(
