Interesting.  But before any passing creotards get a hard on, no this won't turn evolution on its head.  It just tells us more about our early ancestors.

True - It's simply another link or rather a different link.

Give it time, and the entire chain of our ancestors will eventually be discovered.

How come so many things are bign found in Ethiopia?  This fossil 4.2 million years ago, Lucy 3.2 million years ago (the first Humanoid) and the first human (250,000 years ago).

Did our ancestors only 'hang out' in one place?

No but the horn of Africa is supposed to be the cradle of civilisations and the birthplace of humanity.

"I am ready to make my confession. I ask for no forgiveness father, for I have not sinned. I have only done what I needed to do to survive. I did not ask for the life that I was given, but it was given nonetheless-and with it, I did my best"

Fossilisation is a very rare event, it only happens under certain conditions.  Its not where our ancestors hung out most that we find most fossils necessarily, but where soil conditions, climate, etc where right for fossilisation.

I buy that theory. So the most likely scenario is that none of our ancestors were born in Ethipia, but some other African country?  Only some of their descendants were found there

And just so we're telling both sides of the story, here's the creationist reaction to the same fossil....

How is that telling two sides of the story? There is only one story-the truth

Science is based around the truth

Creationism is based around a fiction masterpiece called the bible.

How are they even remotely the same?

They are not, Henri, I'm taking the piss.  The vid is 4 mins of mind blowing stupidity posted for comic relief, (and to show how stupid creationism is).

    Got you

Creationism is naturally stupid. I have never seen anyone with intelligence who seriously believes in creationism-nor have I ever seen an intelligent creationist argument

I don't know how they find their way to the kitchen in the morning.

The chances of a campfire giving birth to a kitchen are the same as the chances of an aeroplane being put together by a tornado.   Tongue
