Anyone from Reading/know Reading well here?

Just wondering because in a very important discussion with BerberElla regarding anti-zombie defense-- http://www.councilofexmuslims.com/index.php?topic=6939.msg174201#msg174201 -- I was reminded of my time there, specifically a trip to the Jack of Both Sides. Actually, given the fact I was in a drunken haze most of the time I was in Reading (due to being an 18/19 year old American who could actually drink without worrying about having his fake ID confiscated), including the evening in question, this is the only thing that really stands out in my mind from my time there-- that and I have a vague recollection of the house my ma was living in just down the street from this particular pub.

So, anyone know the pub I'm talking about, ever go there? If the latter, I shared my story on the other thread, maybe you have a good story from there too? Just seems like the type of place that lends itself to interesting stories.

I've been shopping in Reading a few times. I was too young to be going to the pub at the time though, so no wild or interesting stories I'm afraid.

Don't know the pub, Q - but I don't live far from Reading and have passed through it many times, (I live in Oxford), and Reading is the venue of one of the UK biggest summer Music Festivals
