    SMF 2.0 Release Candidate 2 is out!

    Yes I realise most people here may not find it that exciting but I'm stoked because a/ I've been waiting for this and b/ I bloody worked on the thing to help get it out there.

    This is better than the stuff we currently run and as soon as I make sure all the customisations we rely on actually work with the new version we will be getting a better and faster forum with more functionality. This is going to take some work though. Shit is it going to take some work.  Cheesy

    I'll keep people updated when I know more. Afro

    Oi! Wanna have a squiz at the new stuff? Got a basic test/demo site set up. Go have a look if you like.  parrot

    Demonstration of the new RC2 Curve theme (demo accounts available)

    That theme is just the new default that replaces the old bunch of bloody bricks default theme SMF used to have.

    We'll have that one as an option but site default will be a custom theme built just for this place.

    It has spellcheck. In fact this forum already has spellcheck. Has had for ages. Not sure what you mean about document storage. All forums run a basic attachments system. The portal also allows downloads from portal blocks (ie: not attached to posts).

    Just been messing around with that new default theme. Basic image and css changes, Nothing fancy. Came up with one that I really like so I think we'll be using it as one of our options.
    I called it "Prince of Darkness".  Cheesy http://www.councilofexmuslims.com/labyrinth/index.php?theme=4

    Anyway I made a chocolate brown one too. I like chocolate.  Grin

    That one is installed on the demo site too: Chocolate Curvaceous

    I'll finish the dark blue one shortly. After that I think I'll be full-on into hacking  Curve's templates and doing some real  custom theming. bunny
