You know, the worrying aspect is that one of my good friends from my final days in Uni is now part of the Islam4UK farce and aggressively campaigning for it on places like facebook etc. He was studying Islamic Studies & Arabic but quit soon after his first year to sell cars back home in Bedford with his dad.

He is the typical Mirpuri who has Barelvi parents while he himself has turned Wahhabi, and its seems like since our last meeting together at the start of this year (he was kind enough to personally visit me a few days before I flew back to Pakistan from Manchester, and is a very soft spoken and polite religious kid) he seems to have become more and more radicalised and now is a full blown part of Anjem's degeneracy.

I got along great with him, and he would often quiz me for stuff about Shia etc which I was more than happy to reply and discuss with him back when I was still a Muslim. Like myself, he too is/was a Man United fan, and with our friends (many who were non-Muslims) we often played football on PS2 together barely 15 months or so back.

Now I wouldnt be surprised if he has completely changed his mentality and outlook. Its fucking scary and disappointing he has become part of this fraud   Cry

Pakistan Zindabad? ya Pakistan sey Zinda bhaag?

What made him join it? From the sounds of it, he had friends, he got along well with his parents - what attracted him to Anjem? I'd love to know because something must have radicalised him beyond a road to Damascus moment.

What a shame - fingers crossed he comes to his senses. How old is he?

He is not more than 20-21.

By the looks of it, he was always a conservative Muslim and I think so is some of his family. He always had a beard, and wore the lose Shalwar Kameez with prayer cap on. I thought he just took his roots seriously, and frankly speaking him joining this degeneracy surprises me and also does not surprise me, because I feel Anjem's minions always target such youths for their cause but he still seems friendly and all on the outside but on the inside I expected better....I think he was mentally and religiously at war with himself and others quietly  wacko

I actually gave him the links of CMB etc wanting to protest Islam4UK's march and he replied on facebook with this:

    Quote
Subhanallah theres not even a need to comment these fools expose themselves.. demonstrating against the Shariah of Allah in favour of kufr laws. All this to please the Kufar

"O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to ... Read morethem (for friendship) is of them.? (5:51)

Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) guidance. And if you were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur'an), then you would have against Allah neither any Wali (protector or guardian) nor any helper. (2:120)

No changes in language or words, this is a full copy paste of his comment on the links I thought I'd share.

This is the facebook group he shared. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=205567810288&ref=mf

It has only been a few months since he started posting videos from such people, and even posted a video where he commented on calling Shias as liars and rafidahs. I think he expected a reaction from me, but I wasnt bothered. But him becoming a full-on Wahhabi has really disappointed me.

If I were to even tell him that now I am an Atheist......

He is not more than 20-21.

Hopefully he'll snap out of it.

I hope its just a youth thing. If he is sane enough, this will probably just a rebellious phase in his life and he will come to and leave Anjem's lunacy.
