Hey! I know I'm a little late getting to this but I just took the test and my results are:

    Quote
    Your Type is
    INTJ
    Introverted   Intuitive   Thinking   Judging
    Strength of the preferences %
    44   25   1   33

Rational Portrait of the Mastermind (INTJ)

All Rationals are good at planning operations, but Masterminds are head and shoulders above all the rest in contingency planning. Complex operations involve many steps or stages, one following another in a necessary progression, and Masterminds are naturally able to grasp how each one leads to the next, and to prepare alternatives for difficulties that are likely to arise any step of the way. Trying to anticipate every contingency, Masterminds never set off on their current project without a Plan A firmly in mind, but they are always prepared to switch to Plan B or C or D if need be.
Masterminds are rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population, and they are rarely encountered outside their office, factory, school, or laboratory. Although they are highly capable leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once they take charge, however, they are thoroughgoing pragmatists. Masterminds are certain that efficiency is indispensable in a well-run organization, and if they encounter inefficiency-any waste of human and material resources-they are quick to realign operations and reassign personnel. Masterminds do not feel bound by established rules and procedures, and traditional authority does not impress them, nor do slogans or catchwords. Only ideas that make sense to them are adopted; those that don't, aren't, no matter who thought of them. Remember, their aim is always maximum efficiency.

In their careers, Masterminds usually rise to positions of responsibility, for they work long and hard and are dedicated in their pursuit of goals, sparing neither their own time and effort nor that of their colleagues and employees. Problem-solving is highly stimulating to Masterminds, who love responding to tangled systems that require careful sorting out. Ordinarily, they verbalize the positive and avoid comments of a negative nature; they are more interested in moving an organization forward than dwelling on mistakes of the past.

Masterminds tend to be much more definite and self-confident than other Rationals, having usually developed a very strong will. Decisions come easily to them; in fact, they can hardly rest until they have things settled and decided. But before they decide anything, they must do the research. Masterminds are highly theoretical, but they insist on looking at all available data before they embrace an idea, and they are suspicious of any statement that is based on shoddy research, or that is not checked against reality.

Alan Greenspan, Ben Bernanke, Dwight D. Eisenhower, General Ulysses S. Grant, Frideriche Nietsche, Niels Bohr, Peter the Great, Stephen Hawking, John Maynard Keynes, Lise Meitner, Ayn Rand and Sir Isaac Newton are examples of Rational Masterminds.

No, not surprised.  I wouldn't have given INTJ to Nour, but then when I think about it, it makes sense.  There are other female INTJ's online that I know, and there is a certain similarity.  The aspergers is also something other INT types mention too. (I didn't have any type in mind for nour anyway)

All of the types fit in with my theory anyway, that N types are the majority.  Tongue

E,S,F,P are the least common traits - in fact we dont have a single ESFP or ESFJ on the forum!  i ran a search for both these types, and only Peruvians sister is an ESFP.

Peruvian, dont waste you breath on trying to convert here - she'll be an impossible nut to crack according to personality type!

Doubt it, my brother has the same personality type as you, and as far as I can tell he's OK...A little distant at tyimes, but he likes being around family more than me and he socialises way more than me!

Sometimes autistic spectrum illnesses are misdiagnosed simply based on the N factor.  A.D.D for instance, attention deficit disorder, is often a label given to N types because we spend so much daydreaming and not paying attention.

I think I'm fooling myself when I try to label myself an E type, lol I test more consistantly as an INFP.

I read in one INFP description that as I child you don't really live in the real world, you go into a kind of different worl in your head and go back and forth. That's a perfect description of me as a kid. I didn't need any friends, I always had a different world to be in with lots of imginary friends...sounds a lil crazy when I think about it though!

    Yep.   yes

Sometimes I wish I had the S factor, the ability to live in the here and now, to appreciate my regular senses.  S types usually do better in life, simply because they are anchored in it.

But I wouldn't trade my dreamy idealism ultimately.

Berbs - I think E & I can vary depending on your mood at the time of the test, particularly if you are borderline.  I see you as naturally an E, judging by the way, and how regularly, you use the forum.

When doing the test, if you answer the questions relating to how much you like being around people to include virtual ones (we are real people in case anyone is under the illusion Wink), then I think you might get different results.

I am, and always have been an exremely social person and I find online relationships meet my social needs to some extent.  Its far more convenient as you can participate where & when it suits, rather than having to do so for conventions sake.

Ah, but see introverts use forums way more than extroverts.  INTPcentral is busier than this forum ever is, and it is an introverts forum, Typology central is also dominated by introverts.

It's non draining to use a forum, however I hate MSN, or any instant chat as I find that draining.

I watch in horror as all my E friends have multiple conversations in many open msn windows, I know that would drain me fast.

Using a forum is like having a conversation in my mind, in which my mind actually talks back to me, only it's you guys as the voices in my head.  Tongue

I LOVE doing that. I'd have like 5-7 windows open at a time, writing rapidly and tabbing between windows.

Thats interesting, but I would have guessed typology central to be dominated by I's for a different reason, that is because they are more introspective that extroverts.

A 100 scoring introvert would not even be interested in communicating on a forum, however I see your point about this forum being more about discussions in your own head.  Perhaps. I guess people see it in different ways.  For example,  I see it differently, and my imagination creates different characters for each user here.  I usually get it totally wrong, thats why I am usually so shocked when I see someones photo!

That would drive me mad, I've tried that before and always end up deleting msn from my pc.

Oh they do, not as much but they do.  I can think of 1 off the top of my head, INTJ, 100% I.

The trouble with me is I can't make up my mind if I am an extrovert with social anxiety issues, or an introvert exactly how she is supposed to be.

E's are more likely to wear their emotions on a sleeve. I think your an E who turns into an I when you feel people let you down.  When you get pissed off with people, you spend more time taking these tests as opposed to beng out & about, and thus more likely to record an 'I'.

    INFP

    slightly expressed introvert

    moderately expressed intuitive personality

    distinctively expressed feeling personality

    moderately expressed perceiving personality

The infp is more like the perfectionist who never quite gets it perfect though.

INFP = I Never Find Perfection, so it's more about nothing ever being able to sustain that idealistic image you have in your head, eventually cracks begin to show, and what once appeared perfect no longer does.

I recognize that... and all too well.  wacko

    Well as an INTJ...

My real life interactions are very limited. I hardly talk to my family, I have dinner alone, I hate eating in-front of others. I hate social gatherings where I am the center of attention... I don't mind it, if I am going to be praised and everyone wants to listen to what I have to say. But if its a situation where everyone is taking the piss out of (even as a joke) I take it in a negative way, and just leave or say something really hurtful to others. On-line, on a forum I feel like I can be myself when I am anonymous I feel very comfortable, and I am able to express myself...

If I am around trusted folks I can easily express my emotions in real life for example to my wife, but I can never do this in a family situation, it is just embarrassing for me. I hat funerals the most, I am completely lost. I don't get why everyone is so upset... I mean we all die, it's nothing new I don't get the everyone being upset about the death.

I used to think I was an S but I am not an as I hate humans in real-life... I just want my wife, and go and live in the desert of something, just me and her. I hate working, its been about 2 months I've not been to work, just been making excuses not to go to work... I always think I am going to go to work but at the last minute I just change my mind, I emotionally break down and hide, turn my phones off (all of them including the home phone) so no one can ring me asking me to come into work.

Although I have been in group situations where I have started conversation. But my conversations are always more serious, seldom just chit-chat I hate chit-chat...

I'm very methodical and meticulous, how I dress etc, If I go out I will be dressed the best and right for the occasion, sometimes I do like to wear clothes which standout. I love suits I love wearing suits.

I must add, I am very into esoteric things, things hardly anyone has ever heard about.

Gah, this personality stuff is annoying. I find myself justifying my disorganization, as if it's a natural thing rather than a habitual one.

ISTJ here. Looks like I'm in the minority.

    Quote
The one word that best describes Inspectors is superdependable. Whether at home or at work, Inspectors are extraordinarily persevering and dutiful, particularly when it comes to keeping an eye on the people and products they are responsible for. In their quiet way, Inspectors see to it that rules are followed, laws are respected, and standards are upheld.

Inspectors (as much as ten percent of the general population) are the true guardians of institutions. They are patient with their work and with the procedures within an institution, although not always with the unauthorized behavior of some people in that institution. Responsible to the core, Inspectors like it when people know their duties, follow the guidelines, and operate within the rules. For their part, Inspectors will see to it that goods are examined and schedules are kept, that resources will be up to standards and delivered when and where they are supposed to be. And they would prefer that everyone be this dependable. Inspectors can be hard-nosed about the need for following the rules in the workplace, and do not hesitate to report irregularities to the proper authorities. Because of this they are often misjudged as being hard-hearted, or as having ice in their veins, for people fail to see their good intentions and their vulnerability to criticism. Also, because Inspectors usually make their inspections without much flourish or fanfare, the dedication they bring to their work can go unnoticed and unappreciated.

While not as talkative as Supervisor Guardians [ESTJs], Inspectors are still highly sociable, and are likely to be involved in community service organizations, such as Sunday School, Little League, or Boy and Girl Scouting, that transmit traditional values to the young. Like all Guardians, Inspectors hold dear their family social ceremonies-weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries - although they tend to be shy if the occasion becomes too large or too public. Generally speaking, Inspectors are not comfortable with anything that gets too fancy. Their words tend to be plain and down-to-earth, not showy or high-flown; their clothes are often simple and conservative rather than of the latest fashion; and their home and work environments are usually neat, orderly, and traditional, rather than trendy or ostentatious. As for personal property, they usually choose standard items over models loaded with features, and they often try to find classics and antiques - Inspectors prefer the old-fashioned to the newfangled every time.

    D'aww, so me. :')

Well, actually if you look at it in terms of personality types (oh here she's go again) it's not surprising.

An internet forum like this, attracts a certain type of personality types.  People more incline to liberal, N types (MBTI).

But only online at forums like this, are N types the majority, in the real world SJ's are the majority.  Run a poll amongst them on this subject and you'll see why the legislation still remains the same.  Wink
