SCIENCE DOCUMENTARY PROJECT
Dear Maryam,
Thank you so much for your time just now you or your members may be able to help me with a sensitive matter. We are looking for someone who is terminally ill to undergo the process of mummification after death. Ideally this will be someone who has already decided to leave his or her body to science, or who does not wish to be either buried or cremated.
This scientific project will be recreating the Ancient Egyptians most sophisticated mummification process for the first time in almost 3000 years; and as the mummification proceeds it will also be re-writing what we know about how the Egyptians mummified their dead. Because the British government has pronounced Formaldehyde un-safe, the project will also seek to prove that there is a safe, low-cost, organic alternative to this carcinogenic preservative now used by medical schools and anatomy departments across the world.
The mummification process will take place in a UK-based premises licensed by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA.) The HTA has been consulted and have
confirmed that this project meets their guidelines. (

The experiment will be part of a documentary, which follows this entire scientific process. It is being made by Fulcrum TV (
www.fulcrumtv.com) a respected London-based company which has won a number of awards for its productions. It will be filmed in the UK and Egypt and will also focus on the individual who has chosen to have their body mummified after death.
The film will be broadcast in the UK , the USA and globally to a worldwide audience. It will be broadcast at the same time as the scientific results are published in a major academic journal. A leading scientific journal has already accepted a pre-submission application. This is an opportunity to be part of major groundbreaking medical, historical and scientific research.
