    I think some muslims have hoist themselves on their own petard.  They fall into the illogical thinking that converts to Islam is evidence that Islam is true, which is why they freak out when someone leaves, and invent excuses like "oh you were never a real muslim."

    As for Salem he didn't even know the meaning of the word Islam until some Arabic speaking murtads here educated him.

    It is my great hope that you would grace it with an honest answer.
    Isn't in the light of what God says, your disagreement with Islam is unfounded?
    Are you willing to admit that you didn't actually intellectually identify with Islam in the first place?
    Don't get me wrong, as well.
    But doesn't intellectual honesty oblige you to do so?

    What are you on about.  If anything intellectual honesty obliges to ditch Islam?  There are also these quotes from the quran & sahih hadith that you chose to ignore..

    Quran 4:89 (Pickthal translation)
    They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level. So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them,

    Sahih Bukhari 4:260
    The Prophet said, "If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him."

    Islame, for the life of me all I see is non-sequitur in your post.

    Elijah is trying to state what the koran really said relative what people said to Kim.

    Hey Kim, I'm actually quite happy you left Islam. I used to watch your videos, read your blogs, but just as you I found myself finding things about Islam I didn't like. I hope that you enjoy your liberation just as I have!

    Kim,

    I'm sorry  you're getting a lot of shit from Muslim. Most Muslims think when someone leaves Islam, they either "find" Jesus, or another religion, or they just wanna get drunk and screw around all the time. For me it was neither. When I was Muslim I choose not to drink, eat pork, screw around, etc, but I found many Muslims who were doing those things condemning me when I left  Huh?

    Just follow the path that is right for you.  I am agnostic as well. I go to a Unitarian Universalist church. They don't have any certain religious beliefs, and many who go there are atheist, most of the others are agnostic. It's just a community I feel comfortable in.  They basically are humanists, they like to explore and learn about things. We had a Passover Seder once, that was interesting. Your path may be a mixture of things from different religions or wahtever beliefs you feel fit you. You don't have to to put a label on it, but other people will try to. Don't know why.

    If you ever want to talk, feel free to pm or email me. Since you were so active in Islam, you are getting a lot more crap than I did. I do have to deal with my ex though, we have kids. Luckily he lives 12 hours driving time away. I'm sure my kids will have to put up with his crap when they are grown up though, esp. when they get married (esp. my daughter).

    It is funny about the religion being one of Peace, why is there so violence when people leave Islam or don't agree with it?

    I think there was a hadith where Muhammad compared backbiting to eating ones flesh alive or something like that. Yet most Muslims are saying the rudest things behind Kims back. Hypocrites.
