I have only been a Muslim for around 4 years and by no means claim to know all about Islam.

The reason I am here is because I want a balanced view on issues and controversies and think your critiques of authors, scholars, and popular writers have merit. I have found a lot of good things about Islam in print as well as a lot of chaff---not to mention one or two liars saying so-and-so said this when they really didn't.

You guys and girls can help make sure any sources I read are honest.

Can you give a bit of background info on you like what attracted you to Islam in the first place?

Welcome BH - I think you have the right idea - hear both sides of the story, and come to your own conclusions. How did you come across this site by the way?

Welcome BH. The best way to approach it is to look at both sides of the coin, in order to reah some sort of an objective decision.

Hi BH welcome to the forum. I know how u feel, sometime i need some sort of clarification too and thought this place is best to get that as alot of the people here have far more knowldege than me and especially coz i was never very religous to start with.
