     OP - December 22, 2009, 10:56 AM

    Good day to you all,

My name is Eyad, I'm from Palestine and I live in London.

I'm an atheist for almost 10 years now.

Heard about this forum from Arab Atheist network and thought of joining you to see what other ex-Muslims in the UK are thinking of today.
And in the beginning there was hello
    Cheerio

haha sorry it was a typo, i actually speak arabic, but its always hard to differentiate between felastini, masri o lobnani, khalene ala el iraqi Cheesy

im still interested in islamic studies and arabic, i suspect i will always be interested but its only now that im reading and studying objectively and critically, my goal is to read the Quran in arabic, i have come to mistrust the translations, especially when they add words like the universe :S

a question habibi, السموات  that means heavens right? as in janna, or as in sky? or both? it certainly does not mean universe?

I wish you all the best my dear friend, but honestly is this a question to ask an atheist about?  Cheesy

Just guessing, it means the skies more than heavens. as for universe, hmmmm let me think ... I guess not really... but that is just a guess please don't quote me here.

    good luck  Wink
