I first saw this movie when we read the play in High School. This really is a great scene

The play was part of my high school english curriculum. The play is from the 50s, and I think the movie was from 1965.
It's based on the 1925 Scopes "Monkey" Trial in Tennessee, where a teacher was arrested for teaching about evolution, which was prohibited by Tennessee state law.

I'm currently watching Cosmos, next episode is number 7. Carl Sagan is my new hero. Sad that he passed away, he wasn't that old was he?

I think he might have been in his early sixties. He had some form of cancer.
