So it's the hair which is the cause of lying. That's basicly what you are saying. What about bald ones?

Wow you are using one translation that will relate to the front lobe because it related to the forehead. Just wow.

One. There are several parts of the brain that light up when you lie.

Two. Forehead does not equate frontal lobe. It should then be frontal lobe and not forehead.

Three. It can be translated as forelock as well. As in hair.

Don't need to tell that, your name gives that away.

Neither the Christians nor the Muslims can go beyond six thousand years for the age of the universe.

I know. But this thread probably claims that as per the Quran, the universe is younger than even six thousand years.

It contains the idea that "islam is about to conquer Europe as it has tried before and was only stopped by Charles Martel". Frankly, I wouldn't think of naming myself after some warlord that had no qualms to mass-slaughter people simply because they wouldn't accept his rule or convert to christianity.

Thanks for enlightening me. But do you really think that all the CharlesMartels currently roaming on the internet belong to FFI? I chose this nick because I like to think (pardon my grandiose delusions) that I am trying to stop Islam, and not because the historical Charles Martel forced people to convert to Christianity; I am not aware of that history.

Charles Martel was his grandfather. They both liked slaying pagan infidels.

By the way, do you have some kind of grudge against FFI? Just curious.

    Quote
Charles Martel (Latin: Carolus Martellus) (ca. 688 – 22 October 741),[1][2][3][4][5] called Charles the Hammer, was a Frankish military and political leader, who served as Mayor of the Palace under the Merovingian kings and ruled de facto during an interregnum (737–43) at the end of his life, using the title Duke and Prince of the Franks. In 739 he was offered the title of Consul by the Pope, but he refused.[6] He is perhaps best remembered for winning the Battle of Tours in 732, in which he defeated an invading Muslim army and halted northward Islamic expansion in western Europe.[7]

A brilliant general—he lost only one battle in his career (the Battle of Cologne)—he is a founding figure of the Middle Ages, often credited with a seminal role in the development of feudalism and knighthood, and laying the groundwork for the Carolingian Empire.[8][9] He was also the grandfather of Charlemagne.

He stopped an invading Muslim army, that was probably bent on converting everybody to Islam.

As Bernhard Lewis  writes, if it had not been for him the banner of Islam might today be waving over 10, Downing Street.

I, for one am thankful that it is not.

Well, you don't know. A lot can happen in 1500 years history. Just as we now have a very tamed and liberal version of Christianity in Europe (actually not since that long though), there could be a very tame and liberal version of Islam after 1500 years presence in Europe. Could actually be a much more liberal version compared to Western European Christianity. We don't know.

It wasn't an invading army.  He was actually requested by the rulers.

What? Pagan Saxons, Suebi, Alamanni, Frisians and Bavarians demanded him to invade their lands to convert them to Christianity?

I would rather not run that experiment.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

Well, we couldn't run the experiment, because the time machine has yet to be invented.

But my statement remains: We don't know how history would have evolved. Just consider the status of Christianity in Middle and Eastern European countries today.

30 years ago, who would have expected that Catholicism and Orthodoxy could regain their stronghold in society after decades of communist rule while seeing a rise of atheism in Western Europe?
