If muslims dont join FFI or any anti islamic site then ofcourse the site is as good as useless. The target audience is mainly the muslims.

The context was nothing more than a straightforward question from Hassan, and I answered the question as per my own personal opinion.

Of course the main target audience is Muslims as you say, but I disagree with the first part of your statement here, because making the non-Muslims aware of the danger of Islam is also important. Yet another important thing is to learn new things from others who come from different backgrounds.

But I don't think that Muslims will ever stop coming to FFI. Who wouldn't want to educate the bunch of ignorant kuffar, and who wouldn't want to earn the goodwill of Allah by doing dawa? Which Muslims wouldn't want to show us what a noble man Muhammad was. Which Muslim wouldn't want to wow us with the numerous scientific miracles of Quran?

If I understand the mind of the Muslims correctly, they detest their apostates more compared to Non-Muslims; they see them as traitors. As you can see for yourself, this forum has far fewer number of Muslims.

Islam is a funny religion which is misunderstood by its scholars and correctly understood by ordinary Muslims.
Faith is keeping your eyes shut when looking at the world, and/or keeping your eyes open only for the beauty of the world.

charles You mean to say Ex-Muslims are NOT against Islam??   Many of them are clearly Anti-Islam,  May be they are Not Anti-Muslim and they may not Insult Muslim folk and some time Islam  as much as Non-Muslims do in FFI.

I wonder,  do you also mean that Ex-Muslims are NOT questioning what is there in Islam + Islamic Scriptures??

No, I didn't mean to say any of those things. I am just saying that FFI is more popular anti-Islamic site.

That's right, because, unlike this site it welcomes with open arms anyone who wants to bash Muslims, even if they are religious extremists themselves. While FFI may be more popular, COEM has more principled members. The principled ideological opposition to anything is normally a smaller group than the opportunistic and plain old nasty or brain dead ideological opposition. Islam is just happens to be the ideology being opposed in this case.

     Reply #633 - February 26, 2010, 06:50 PM

The reason most ex-Muslims don't stay on FFI is obvious.

Do I really need to state it?

It is just too extreme. Too much hatred expressed, by people who have no understanding or empathy with either them or their Muslim families.

When it is said that good Muslim is not a good human being - the implication is that they were not good human beings nor their loved ones.

Call it emotional if you like Charles - but it is plainly obvious that no-one can accept that - particularly when they know that neither they nor their families were 'bad human beings'.

FFI is not a forum that understands Ex-Muslims and does not offer any support or help for what they go through.

    It really is obvious.

We have been through this, haven't we, Hassan? I don't have much more to add to what I have already said. However I would like to remind you that Ali Sina has said it more than once that the majority of the Muslims are good people as long as they are ignorant of Islam (or something to that effect). I have also clarified what he meant by "good Muslim".

And I can't really comment on whether FFI provides enough support for ex-Muslims; you are surely in a better position to comment on the issue. On the other hand, we do have testimonials of ex-Muslims who have praised FFI; I do think we support them. Anyway, I see the issue from the perspective of a Non-Muslim. I do realize to some extent what ex-Muslims go through psychologically and socially, and I have expressed my admiration for their courage. By courage I don't mean the courage to stand up to the society they live in, but the courage to let go of their conditioning, indoctrination and long held beliefs. I remember the day the first doubt popped up in my mind about the existence of the creator God. I was shocked beyond any words and for a few days felt as if I was falling through a bottomless pit. Yes, it needed lots and lots of courage to be honest to myself and let go of the crutch.

You know that the actual difference lies in our perspectives. I can't look at the Muslims the way you look at them. For you, they are your own misguided ones. But for me, they represent a threatening ideology. When I condemn Muslims, I have those Muslims in mind who I see as a threat (for the record, I don't see Muslims like Debunker or AbuYunus as a threat). But when you read my comment, you see your loved ones as being the target. It can't really be helped unless we are ready to be more understanding and forgiving to each other.

It welcomes with open arms even the Muslims who want to bash the Non-Muslims and openly declare that Islam is going to take over the world. It welcomes even those who state everyday that how within a few years Muslims will kick the westerners out to the seas.

When I stated earlier that I thought you were smarter, I didn't obviously mean that I thought you were smarter than myself. Though I know that you know what I meant, I would still clarify that you turned out to be less smarter than I initially thought. Yet another evidence of my initial mistake is your stated opinion that COEM has more principled members. That is just a claim which you can't substantiate, and I can make the same claim about FFI equally well. The inverse of Argumentum ad Populum is a fallacy as well.

Your post is intended to generate more heat, so I prefer not to engage you at the moment.

If you hadn't lost your cool and started to f**k people around, you might have paused to asked me why I declined to call them Nazis, and why I said I considered them similar to Nazis. As skynightblaze has already pointed out, there is a big difference between the two statements.

He isnt completely wrong.People are being ashamed to be called a Nazi and people ideally should  be ashamed to be called a muslim because Nazism and islam  have the same goals i.e racial superiority and domination of the world and none would want to be a follower of both. The only difference is Nazism is recognized as an evil ideology while Islam is not widely recognized and thats why we dont find muslims being ashamed of being a muslim.Once islam is being exposed people would surely be ashamed to be called as muslims.

I'll let let pass, Sky... but using your logic, and pretending what you said about Islam is true, then it's safe to say that Jews should be very ashamed of themselves for believing in the Hebrew Bible... even if they're ignoring it, they still should be ashamed...

Now that piece of shit, Wootah, believes in the Bible so he should be very ashamed of himself too... of course, I didn't go there, I just shown him the finger... because he fucking deserved it.

I didnt realize I contradicted mysef. Yesterday or day before yesterday I made the same statement that FFI is for educating both muslims and non muslims and today I unknowingly contradicted myself.Actually I was focusing on Yeezevee's question whether its OK if muslims dont join an anti islamic site but in the end I have to accept that I  made a mistake.

To me believing in any religion is a matter of shame. Its an insult to human intelligence and a clear indication that anyone can take control  over your reasoning by merely making a claim from God . I dont need any religion to tell me whats right and whats wrong. Also what religion tells me is not something that a human being can never imagine or possibly think. Yes  Wootah was being a hypocrite here . Perhaps he should see again his bible to verify whether he too should be ashamed to be a part of christianity.

This statement is 100 % correct . Nazis ruled hardly for 10 -15 years but the bloody history of islam dates 14 centuries back starting with the first muslim terrorist . guess who? Cheesy Its none other than your beloved prophet Muhhamad and since then muslims have committed infinite crimes.I mean we cant simply compare the crimes of muslims against crimes of Nazis. 10-15 years of crimes vs 1400 years of crimes and importantly still going ....

lol... you guys on FFI really hype up the whole "Muslims are gonna kill me" thing don't you... as if anyone is going to be interested in bumping you off...

Everyone knows my name (even my surname) and seen my face and my vids - it would be sooooooooo easy to find where I live... and guess what... I'm still here - and more important I'm not bothered because it is part of the stand I make to be public about my apostasy.
