Mohammad was a little emo himself.  Someone wrote poems about him, he got upset and we know how that ended.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

    Naerys
Naerys, I was not butt-hurt and I did not started speaking harsh language, it was some of you guys who started showing hostility and using inappropriate language. If you don't believe me, then read my response and your fellow friends aswell.

Hassan, first of all my reply was just related to the comment, i did not see any of your videos. I agree with you that sort of comment was not necessary, but hey you can't expect to find every light bulb to be perfect in a batch.

General comment to those who accused Muhammad Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him of all the crimes, If i ask you to prove it, you will never be able to prove it, and i can't prove it aswell that he is innocent. So let the past stay as it is, and stop accusing  other of the crimes which we have not seen through our own eyes.

I appreciate all of you for your opinions.

    Please DONT ignore the following:

However, I noticed another flaws with you guys, that none of you had any guts to make a simple covenant. Now being as an ex-muslim don't you trust your self at all?. If you can't, then I would say even that some pagans 1400 years ago were better and made a covenant with Muslims to not show hostility and to not disrespect each other.

Or You can all simply say that Muslims are not welcome in this form, then I will leave by the door I came in, and won't look back.

    ------------------------------
Just alone Allah is enough for me.

Dude, seriously. What the hell do guts have to do with making a meaningless covenant. You do realize that the people on this ex-muslim site see Allah as just a concept right? Not a god, simply a non existent concept. You can hold him as dearly to your heart as you want- that doesn't warrant giving Allah an ounce of respect. If Allah actually existed he would be respected based on his merit, not because it hurts your poor feewings. Based on the quran, merit and Allah don't go in the same sentence, so he gets none. No brownie points for being a sadistic, arrogant tyrant. And no one is saying anything about you when they diss Mo or Allah. You dont even realize that asking us to respect Allah, thats asking us to make a huge paradigm shift where obeying and venerating a 1500-year old torturous, pms-y, selfish god who makes value judgments based on an uncontrollable, meaningless thing like faith would be OK.

    Hi xtr00,

I posted that thread to show my disgust at how "some" Muslims display such a mean-spirited and callous attitude towards the misfortune/tragedy of others.

I lost my baby daughter - the guy commented "HAAAAAAA... you fail!"

    This happened on this forum?

This world would have been a better place if he had pursued the route of self harming instead of torching other people's asses. It’s really embarrassing when kids don’t adhere to stereotypes.

    xtr00:

Making rude comments is a pretty common human behaviour.  Especially on the internet where one does not have the same kind of social pressures and consequences as you'd experience talking to someone face to face.

In any case, I wouldn't let it bother you too much.

Personally, when I debate with someone and they have written rude comments my eyes pretty much skip over them.

If I start responding to rude comments then I will have been distracted from my argument.  It's pretty easy to debate about whether Islamic embryology (what little there is of it) is true or not, but it is a very difficult task to argue about some emotionally charged nonsense (not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that Smiley).

A few things I'd like to point out though:

    1. The Quran is full of abusive, rude, threatening comments

    2. When I was a Muslim I was prepared to kill people over Quranic fiction

From reading peoples' posts on here I don't get the impression that they want to kill you, blow up your schools, or whatever.  Much of the rude comments that people make are probably motivated by their own negative experiences with Islam and consternation over the damage that is being done to peoples’ lives through the implementation of Islamic texts.

At the end of the day we're all just people.  Not good or evil.  Our behaviour, including our religious behaviour, can be better understood through studying our biology and environment, just like any other species.  We didn't evolve in order to discover the truth of things, or to be "good" people, we just evolved into what we are.  My view is that of trying to learn about our species, about the biological machine, so that I can better understand its behaviour.  I'm not interested in blame and rude comments (though it can be fun Smiley), but lots of people are!

    @Charles

Since this thread's core complaints are actually directed at my insults towards him I will say that my motivation for insulting him was purely because I wanted to rip into a musulman. Just for fun. Nothing more to it. I'm an asshole and I probably should be put away or something. But life it not fair and I walk free.  Cool

I started watching the top video and almost started to cry, I kinda feel guilty for having the education and chances I have, poor fellow sisters of THE HUMAN RACE. It is sickening, they sicken me the Taliban and I do blame Islamic scripture for it, it is too naive, old and not taking in of change. Seriously, it needs reform or destruction. Whats even worse is now is that Taliban is in my online spell check, it shouldn't exist!!. This is the class dismissed.

I'm glad those videos had an impact on you.  I wish more people would see the like of them!

Hopefully one day the Quran and all the other texts that have been influential in causing harm and suffering can exist in our libraries and schools etc. without anyone actually taking them seriously  whistling2

I'd prefer if they were in a museum. Kind of like the muslim equivalent to a holocaust museum.

What a nice idea!  That one day there may be public memorials that remind us of the damage and suffering that was caused through our religious past  dance

Maybe masjd al-haram could be a candidate for one  Afro  Maybe the Vatican too  Afro Afro

I don't think we'd ever reach such a stage, if we ever do, without being able to trust people to know the Quran is a work of fiction though.

Museums?  What better sign could we give then turning them into scientific establishments and academic learning centers dedicated to the exploring, educating people and improving our scientific knowledge?  If not that then I'd reckon the Vatican would make a nice wine bar.  I bet they've got very good wine over there.
