Actually the whole Brazilian team also occasionally have displays of promoting christainity and jesus. There might be non christains who might feel alienated during those moments too. Some poeple are just more religious than others. I really don't see why this would bother anyone.

About homosexuals, the Brazilian manager Scolari made some negative remarks about gay people too. Its about piety/religious crazyness, not (really) Islam.

There is a big difference between individual displays of faith, as Kaka did, and being told that unless you are pious and religious and perform religious gestures you will have no place in a team. As Osama Diab explains:

My quandary is rooted in a statement by Hassan Shehata, the Egyptian national coach, who said that his squad selection is not only based on skills and competence, but also on piety. Also, the team's nickname is gradually changing from the Pharaohs to Montakhab el-Sagedeen (literally the team of prostrators). This will soon result in a situation where only practicing Muslims identify strongly with the team. Secular Muslims and religious minorities will feel indifferent at best. The team currently doesn't have a Christian player, in a country where at least 10% of the population are Christians. Hany Ramzy, one of the best defenders in the history of Egyptian football, was a Coptic Christian. However, the next time this happens, the Christian player will feel like an outcast if religious players, like Ahmed Fathy, force everyone to kneel after scoring a goal.

I got an Egyptian penpal
I told her in the last game Allah got 1 but England got 3.
If the Egyptian team wants to credit their goals to Allah that's fine.
