Actually this is not the first time I have encountered this theme - but the photos really made it something extra.
André Franquin drew something along the line. Look:

Pity. A sum-up: It's about a man who explains his love for miniatures, and how he adores the japanese art of Bonsai. He describes vividly how you go about to create these Bonsai trees, inhibiting their growth, and directing what you let grow into different bizarre shapes. He expresses a pure joy in describing how the best way to kill most of the shoots is to cut them off nicely with the finger nails. A bit sadistic in other words.

He then looks in a tree and finds something that shouldn't be there. His two kids whom he blasts for climbing the little trees despite being told not to.

    Bonsai kids...

Oh, and the cartoon is part of a series which he named "Idées Noires" (Black thoughts). Quite a special kind of humour.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

Basically its a sad story of a misunderstood emo kid.  Cry

This is a video that goes with it:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yw1Tgj9-VU

The characters in the comic are all 4chan/anime characters.

Sad duck = proverbial emo kid: http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Emo

    Cockmongler: http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Cockmongler

Windows XP girl = girl to the max; Windows ME girl is her complete opposite

Pedobear, G.W.B. and Milhouse from Simpsons are self explanatory.

Mickey Mouse = Jeff Goldblum = Jew (hence the sly facial expression)
