  • Simach masgoof= smoked carp
     OP - March 25, 2010, 10:42 AM

I was reading the food thread and Iraqi Atheist mentioned this so i would like to find out more.

I and many others have always thought carp is not a tasty fish to eat and a good barramundi or flathead are always near the top of the list so maybe its a case of how it is cooked and someone has figured out a better way.

    Is this a popular dish?

    Do people really like it?

    Does anyone have a recipe?

Part of why i am asking is its an intoduced species that is wreaking havoc in some places and the locals dont really know what to do with it and they are so plentifull they are jumping into fishing boats  there is a video of this on youtube.
