    Hey all,

    I tried to log in today in Facebook and found this surprise:



    I think somebody reported me because of my profile picture:


    Fucking awesome!

    Well, it's not that tragic, because I seldom use FB. But I still like to check out a few groups once in a while. Everything's gone now. :'(

    A lot of people must've reported you for that to happen. I'd email them and ask why it was disabled

    LOL, and you think that's gonna help? As far as I can see sites like facebook and YouTube can't be bothered with reviewing complaints by users asking why their account has been disabled.

    I think they will provide you with a reason. My last FB acct got disabled as well but it was after i had uploaded some porn pics Cheesy. I emailed them and they told me why it was disabled after  day or 2 but they didnt activate it :( I had to make a new one and add all my friends there.

    I got disabled for 24hrs and a warning. I think it was because I was mass posting this one link across numerous pages and groups.

    Where can I send an e-Mail to complain? It's like they don't give a shit in the first place if you want to know why the hell you've been banned. :(

    I sent it to disabled@facebook.com and appeals@facebook.com, and got a reply from appeals+nbaasng@facebook.com 3 days later.

    Funny how people post hateful jehadi crap all over the place and yet they never complain about that.

    BTW might be worth checking Facebook's Terms and Conditions to see what they say about 'offensive' material to religions.

    They'll probably reinstate it if you are insistent - maybe let them know that if it's your profile pic that violates their rules (though I don't see how it would), then you're willing to take that off.

    I have fb friends who have the danish cartoon of mohammed as their profile pic. Don't see why the pic on aziz's profile would be a problem when that isn't. I think you were targeted specifically aziz, because of your involvement with the ex-muslim movement.

    Maybe their privacy settings are such that those not on their friends list cannot see their pictures and profile? I know mine is set to that.

    Aziz, was your profile public?

    Yes, exactly. This is a point that cannot be made too often or too publicly. By acting in such a fashion these companies are effectively promoting the Islamist extremists.

    Like I said on the other thread Os, this is a jehad against the apostate scum. Harass and hunt them down where they express themselves online. And it can be done personally, individually.

    All the time, youtube is overflowing with jehadi videos, really hardcore jehadi, and far-right Islamist hate spitting.

    Yup, and the reason it appears one-sided is because generally those critical of Islam are in favour of free speech, and consequently don't try to get Islamists shut down.


    Y'know, really this is something which is probably worth a widely-based formal presentation to YouTube.

    True, but there are speeches of Awlaki's online that might be viewed as incitement to violence, and speeches demonising gays etc etc.

    Its not just that those who oppose Islam and Islamism are very believing in free speech, its that there is no concerted awareness of this, and hence no concerted effort to report extremist content online. All the while, those who want to take out individuals who say or depict something they do not want to be seen or depicted have focus, extreme grievance fuel, and a ready online mob.

    I guess they really mean it. They don't allow any fake names on their platform (though I still don't exactly know why I got banned). The hell I'm gonna send an official ID card to a private Internet company. Facebook can fuck off right there!

    Oh, that's some smart tactics!

    Since those critical of Islam tends to be threatened, they tend to hide their true identity... so they can be accused of breaking Facebook's TOS and silenced.
    Do not look directly at the operational end of the device.

    They disabled my facebook account too.  I assume its for the same reasons.  Did you use an obvious alias name, because mine wasnt?  I have queried it and am waiting for them to get back to me.

    I assume they are going to ask for my drivers liecense too, which they will have to wait until hell freezes over for. 

    Did they get back to you on your letter of complaint?

    Sorry to hear, mate. Your account is practically lost, unless you decide to send an image of your ID card.

    Yes, I got a generic reply. It's the same for everyone: "Send us your ID so we can verify it's you."

    I don't know if my alias was obviously fake. To an English speaking person, probably no. But I think I got banned, because enough people reported my account due to my blasphemous profile picture.
